David Guetta got a new album out

As the title states, French DJ David Guetta has released his new album called "Nothing but the beat", and several tracks from it are climbing various digital charts. To promote this great album, I'm highlighting my 3 favorites from it.

First out we have the current single "Titanium" featuring Australian pop and jazz singer and songwriter Sia. Sia's got a voice with one of the most distinguished tone's in the music industry, and her vocals delivers on this track. It's one of those house songs where the music builds and builds and then fades out in the beginning of the chorus to give space to the vocals, but before each chorus ends the music explodes in euphoria.

"What about the lyrics then?", you say. Well... to be honest the lyrics ain't that important in this kinds of songs, it could've been sung in another language and it would still be as great. But the lyrics actually is good too, Sia sings about that's she's bulletproof and that nothing will hurt her -'cuz she's Titanium, dude!

Then we've "Turn me on" featuring Nicki Minaj. I've never been a fan of Nicki Minaj's previous tracks or her rapping. And on this track she really get to show off that she can sing. This track got a more straight forward, hard sound, with quick turns in the synthesizers melody in the choruses, which is very typical for Guetta.

Last, but not least is Guetta's collaboration with Usher. We've heard how fantastic Usher can sound on dance tracks previously with his own songs like "More", "OMG", and "DJ got us fallin' in love". There ain't no less fantastic here, Usher does a great job delivering the lyrics in the song, singing that he can't go on without his lover in question. Usher even get to show off his abilities of falsetto.

As the music goes it's more similar to the Sia-track, than Nicki Minaj's. With an add of what I would call Daft Punk-synthesizers for the chorus. All 3 tracks off course would work great on a dance floor, and it's nice that none of the songs lyrics in fact is about hanging out in a club.
