Alex Clare - Too Close

The song mixes Clare's great vocals with dubstep provided by renown Diplo and Switch.

The video is directed by Ian Bonhote at Pulse Films and follows two samurai's battling it out in the ruins from what looks like an old factory.

Sibel wanna "Wake Up" her boyfriend

Sibel's latest album was a record stuffed with beautiful ballads. Now she's trying to reinvent herself and release someting comepletely different. On her new song Sibel is rocking it out in a upbeat popsong.
The video is set in a cartoony apartment. Sibel is trying to wake up her boyfriend and to pay attention to her and do stuff with her, while he's boring and minding his own business.

Kate Ryan - LoveLife

Belgian songstress Kate Ryan is back with a yet another catchy dance tune.  The chorus "one life - one love" line has been uttered in more songs than I can count, but I forgive her when the song is as summery as it is and samples the 90's classic 'Narcotic', by Liquidos. Perfect soundtrack for a bicycle ride in the summer breeze.

SNSD - Mr. Taxi/Run Devil Run

SNSD (or Girls Generation if you will) the most popular girlgroup in Asia atm, is back with a new fresh video called 'Mr. Taxi'. It's all you would want from a K-pop song and the video is great too -the choreography and dancing in particular.

SNSD - Mr. Taxi

'Mr. Taxi' is the follow up-video to 'Run Devil Run' which was the third video to be released on the Japanese market. Both songs are part of the same double A-side single. 'Run Devil Run' was a dissapointment though since it had a slower and much more boring sound than any of their previous videos. The video looks great though and the girls are supersexy, but that doesn't save a mediocre song I'm afraid.

Andreea Banica

If you like Inna Andreea Banica should definitely be your cup of tea. She's Romanian and started off as a singer in the duo/band Blondy with a girl friend in 2001 and had a huge success. The rest is- as they say- history. She's one of the most famous people in Romania, are considered to bone of the most beautiful women in Romania and are synonymous with dance music in her native country.

In 2007 Andreea started off a solo-career instead, which has been just as successful. Last year her label released a best of-album in Bulgaria after gaining huge success there with 'Samba', and even being nominated for most played song of 2010 there. On her best of-album she's mixing songs from Blondy, her solo-career and some new songs. You can listen to two of the new songs below. It's all very dancy, and got that Romanian/eastern europe sound that's been so popular all over Europe lately(rightfully so). Her videos is a bit too raunchy and tacky for my taste(the woman HAS done Playboy though, not shockingly so), but you can't standing still while listening to these fantastic tracks.

She's also got a brand new single for 2011 which you can listen to here:

Negin - Unexpected

You have probably not heard about Negin, but she seem to be gifted with some amazing writing skills since she's been credited on some of our favorite albums, for example BoA's fantastic album 'BoA' and Shawn Desman's album 'Fresh'. She's also written music for other artists like Asian megastars Koda Kumi and Namie Amuro, as well as for Swedish pop tartlet Amy Diamond and fictional teenage songstress Hannah Montana.

Now Negin has released her first own single in the US, which is called Unexpected. The song is doing fairly well and climbing various dance/club charts in the nation. And no wonder this Swedish powerhouse of a song has great vocals and would be the perfect soundtrack for a dance party on the beach this summer.

Kate Bush - Deeper Understanding

Kate Bush is back and present her fresh new video for us: 'Deeper Understanding'. The song is the first single from Kate Bush's forthcoming album 'Director's Cut'.

The video is a bit old to say the least. I won't give anything away. Just watch it below if you're a fan of Ms Bush.

Frankmusik - Do It In The AM (feat. Far East Movement)

Frankmusik is back -and with what a smash then!
His new single 'Do It In The AM' is the lead from his upcoming yet untitled sophomore album. And he's got a completely new sound. He's left the electro and has went to a more contemporary commercial dance oriented sound with clear 80's influences. It's fast paced, makes you wanna move and it's got a very infectious chorus. Joining in on the party is the currently very hot US-Asian Hip-Hop group Far East Movement. Interesting to see how this will do on radio.

Video Update: Mason feat. Róisín Murphy - Boadicea

We wrote about this song back in October and now the video has finally arrived. And it's a bloody and violent affair at that. Róisín goes against the men in her life quite brutally -and I love it. The song is still as amazing as when we first heard it.

Bruno Mars - The Lazy Song

That Bruno Mars have had huge success with both singles 'The Way You Are' and 'Granade' can't have passed you by. Now he's back with the third video from his acclaimed album 'Doo-Wops & Hoolighans' called 'The Lazy Song'. And the song goes well with the title. It's a laidback ska/reggae kinda song in the same musical vain as been done by several singer-songwriters before him like Jack Johnson, Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz.

It's a pleasant chillout song that you wanna listen to on a hot summer day while you lay in your hammock sipping lemonade through a straw. The video was directed by Nez and obviously(OBVIOUSLY!) they've thrown in monkeys with shades in a Bruno's bedroom to do choreographed dancing.

Britney Spears - DANCE Till the world ends

Here's another version of Ray Kay's Britney Spears - Till the World Ends-video: a dance version to be exact. Check it out below and watch Britney swing those arms and legs.

Anine Stang - Dominoes

Norwiegan singer Anine Stang is treating us to this easylistneable sugery pop thing of a song called 'Dominoes'. It's her new single and in the quite pretty video she's been inspired more than a little from the movie 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' as a handsome current/former lover is erasing Anine from his memory.

Neo - Underground

I should have posted this back in January, but I never got around to it. Shame on me, because it's truly an amazing song(the video is too for that matter).

Neo had a breakthrough last year in Sweden with a sound very reminiscent of Mika. His new song 'Underground' is another matter though. It's like a power/rock-ballad, but in a faster tempo. Well, you'll understand what I mean when you watch the gorgeous video.

Jessie J - Nobody's Perfect

Jessie J is making a bigger and bigger impact in the industry as time goes by. She's had a major success in her native UK, over Europe and in the states. Jessie released her album 'Who you are' in the end of February, and has dropped two singles from it, 'Do it Like a dude' and 'Price Tag' featuring B.O.B., which was chosen as her first single in the States.

Now it's time for Jessie's third single/video called 'Nobody's Perfect'. The video is very colorful and borrow themes from different horror movies and Alice in Wonderland. The song goes in the same vane as her previous singles with Jessie rapping the verses and singing a catchy pop chorus. In the lyrics she's apologizing for having treated her boyfriend in a badly manner and says that "nobody's perfect".

Eric Saade - Popular

Here's Sweden's contribution to Eurovision Song Contest 2011, and our prediction is that it's gonna be placed pretty high in the competition.

The video is reflecting Eric Saade's vision for the stage show as well as the meaning of the lyrics. Which is his struggle for success. He made a major impact on the Swedish population last year when he was the runner-up to be sent to ESC that year, but before that he'd been struggling himself to make it in the the business since teenage years. Now we're left to see if he's gonna be popular with the rest of the audience of Europe as well.
Ch-ch-check out the video below.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Starlight

Sophie's fourth album 'Make a Scene' was announced in 2008 but have been delayed since. Now the official word is that it's gonna see the light of day the 6th of June 2011. A week prior to that(may 30th to be exact) she's gonna release a new single called 'Starlight' which you can have a listen to below.

A press release describes the track as: "A perfect chilled dance anthem that is instantly catchy with a soft but edgy beat. It is a track that can easily take you from sun lounger by day to nightclub by evening and is the perfect summer anthem."

Video Update: Blue - I Can

Blue who's competing in Eurovision Song Contest for the UK in Düsseldorf in may has just released the music video for their entry 'I Can'. Very simplistic as such, but it gets the job done. We've got the boys singing in a white room, while female dancers are twirling in a black room with outfits copied from Milla Jovovich character in the movie 'Fifth Element', and attached union jacks in grey scales to it. And then it alls ends in boy band video manner: rain!

Neon Trees - Your Surrender

ou might have heard of their first hit single "Animal" also featured in the movie Burlesque. That was one good song from this American alternative rock band from Utah. In 2010, they were signed by Mercury Records. The result was their album "Habits."

Their second single from the album was titled "1983." But for now, here is their latest titled "Your Surrender."

Kahi - Come back you bad person

Kahi is the leadsinger in the popular Koren pop group After School. She's not leaving the group, but she's trying out doing some solo stuff on the side. This is your first taste of said solo project -a song called 'Come back you bad person'.

The music in the verses are superhard electro/electric guitar riffs over a beating bass. The chorus on the other hand is pretty balladry over a piano melody. It may sound scattered, but it works very well together.

The video seem to go with a black/white - good/evil theme which is a bit like the song itself.

Popdiva duet of the year: Rihanna feat. Britney Spears

Poptart Rihanna asked her fans on Twitter who they wanted most to be featured on the remix of her song 'S&M', and the fans answer was pretty clear: none other than miss Spears. Said and done, here's the result:

Video Update: Helena Paparizou - Baby it's over

Here's the video for Helena Paparizou's single 'Baby It's Over' which is a track from her new compilation album.

The video looks kinda low-budget, but fun and artsy on the other hand. The song is still superb though.

Bjørn Johan Muri - Nobody Knows (feat. Kelly Mueller)

Norweigan Idol runner-up Bjørn Johan Muri is back with a new song. This time an amazing ballad in duet with British singer-songwriter Kelly Mueller.

The song is taken from Muri's album 'Airwaves' and present itself as an pretty, a bit alternative and ambient ballad. Not the most exciting thing I've heard, but it's very pleasent. The video is unfortunately not posted on any video site that allows embedding, but you can watch it here if you want.

The Script - If you ever come back

Irish rock/pop band The Script is giving us the video for the third single from their album 'Science & Faith'. The new single is called 'If you ever come back'. And the lyrics is really good on this one. The song is about a guy always leaving his door unlocked if his ex ever decide to return to him. I urge you to listen to the lyrics before throwing this song away(not that there's a reason you should do that in any case because it's a good song, but still)

Katy B - Broken Record

Katy B is mixing dubstep, RnB, funk, house and UK Garage in her music and has had big success in the UK with her album 'On A Mission'. Her latest single is called 'Broken Record' and is her 3rd(previous singles are 'Katy on a mission' and 'Lights On') top10-hit. Check it out below.

Video Update: Britney Spears - Till the World Ends

Britney Spears premiered her all new video for second single 'Till the World Ends' yesterday, taken from new album 'Femme Fatale'.

The video is taking place in an underground club, and the video go well with the lyrics in the chorus:
"See the sunlight
We aint stoppin'
Keep on dancing till the world ends
If you feel it, let it happen
Keep on dancing till the world ends"

Because she and a bunch of other people are dancing their asses off while the city above them are falling apart.

The video was directed by Ray Kay and I have to say that he's done an amazing job. The video has a simple concept, but for me it's the best Britney-video in many years. She looks amazing and the video has this energy that's been lacking a bit from her performances as of late.

Katy Perry - E.T. (feat. Kanye West)

'E.T.' is written by Katy Perry, Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Ammon. The song is an electro ballad that has a similar beat to Queen's 'We will rock you', and the song is about falling in love with a forigner. But in the video they've capitalised on the fact that she sings 'alien' in the lyrics and put an alien-theme on the whole thing.

In the video Perry is joined by rapper Kanye West(as well as on the single edit).
The Canadian director Floria Sigismondi is known for making dark and feminine music videos, and has done so in the past for artists like Christina Aguilera('Fighter', 'Hurt') and Marilyn Manson('the beautiful people', 'Tourniquet') -E.T. is no exception.

In the video, Perry play an alien(donning some serious make-up, and uses prosthetics, coloured contact lenses and shimmering face paint) who drifts through outer space before landing on an abandoned planet covered with litter. She eventually come across a broken robot, which turns into a naked male after recieving a kiss from Perry. Kanye West is mostly floating around in a spacecraft throughout the video.

Just the sheer amount it took for getting Katy Perry's make-up ready was hard for her. This is what she says about it:
"It was, like, five and six hours, each makeup look. It was hard for me! It was really a patience thing for me on this video. But, you know, it's like when you're doing a film. Sometimes you have to do prosthetics, and you have to get really old or turn into an animal or a monster — and that's kind of what this process was", Perry told MTV.

The single is Perry's fifth number one on the Billboard Hot 100-chart.
