Olly Murs - Dance With Me Tonight

I've been away from here for a long time. I just wanted to post something quick--it just got my attention, and I couldn't help having it here.

Listen to Olly's "Dance with me Tonight" and if you do have a chance, listen to his latest album "In Case You Didn't Know."

Hadise - Ask Kaç Beden Giyer

Major Turkish-Belgian pop sensation Hadise gives us a new single. This time it's the weirdly titled "Ask Kaç Beden Giyer", which means something along the lines of "Which size does love wear?". And yeah, that is a question that we ask ourselves all the time.... :P Anyhow it's urban and sleek pop with eastern influences, without strings or anything along those lines for that matter. It's a song that makes us wanna go dirty on a dance floor at least.

Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love (feat. Mike Posner)

"With Ur Love" is Cher Lloyd's second top ten single("Swagger Jagger" being the first), and she's back singing about people with Swagger, and this time also 'bout love. Cher Lloyd wrote the song together with talented guys like Savan Kotecha, Shellback, Max Martin and Mike Posner. Mike Posner is also featured on the track, that was produced by Shellback. In the song Cher sings about what the love from this special guy is doing to her and that she lives in a bubble and can do anything she wants with the strength from his love. The track is featured on Cher's debut album "Sticks + Stones" that is out now.

Girls Generation - The Boys

The ridiculously popular Korean girl group Girls Generation released their new video almost a week ago, and it has had over 19 million views so far. This time we're as usual treated to a high budget gorgeous video and we get a cool hip-hop/pop fusioned track with a lot of electric tweaks to it. And although I prefer when the girls go all out with a major dance hit, this is really really good. The is also a english version of the song/video.

Gökhan Akar - Felsefe

Turkish pop artist and singer-/songwriter Gökhan Akar unleashes his latest video upon us for the single "Felsefe"(=philosophy), and it's a rather groovy turk pop song.

Deportees - Islands & Shores

Deportees is a Swedish band making its debut in 2004. Now they're back with the lead single from their 4th album, and with that a slightly new sound. "Islands & Shores"(both the name of the single and the album) is a fantastic song sounding like a mix between coldplay and the killers with indie influences -and it's bloody brilliant.

Tiziano Ferro - La differenza tra me e te

"La differenza tra me e te" is the first single taken from Tiziano Ferro's forthcoming album "L'amore è una cosa semplice", out end of November.

"La differenza tra me e te" means: The difference between me and you and the song was recorded in studios in LA. Which maybe ain't that surprising title for a lead single for a new Tiziano album, since it's the first song he's released since coming out publicly as a gay man in Italy(which caused quite the stir since he's one of the most famous artists in the country, and that the subject is still somewhat taboo in the land of the Pope).
The song follows Tiziano's usual, but oh so effective and successful, formula. It's Italian pop music at it's best, accompanied by emotional and perfect delivered vocals by Tiziano. The video seem to emphasize on the importance of being true to who you are and that we all are special in it's black and white simplicity.

Liran Danino - Lalechet

It's not often I get to post good Israeli music, but now I do. Here's a fantastic guitar based little ballad in Hebrew by Liran Danino. I think this is just such a pretty song. Lalechet means "To walk".

Rihanna - We found love (Feat. Calvin Harris)

Rihanna has collaborated with Calvin Harris on her brand new single. The song is called "We found love" and feels like an natural progression from "Only Girl", with a dash of more house to it in the vain of David Guetta or Avicii. I found it that Rihanna's voice fit these kinda tracks like a glove. Since she has collaborated with a British producer, the video is very British aswell, in a Street kinda way. And it's also got speeding and move effects like the dance music videos in the 90's had.

Rihanna - We found love (Feat. Calvin Harris)

Giorgia - E' L'Amore Che Conta

Giorgia is back with another great song. This time a beautiful ballad called "E' L'Amore Che Conta", "And the love that counts". And what place better to film a music video for an Italian song about love than Venice??

Britney Spears - Criminal

Hi guys, sorry for being so absent this month, but been having a crazy work schedule, but I'm gonna try to make up for it. Today we start off with Britney Spears new music video for her latest single "Criminal" off her "Femme Fatale" album. It's the only ballad on the album, and it's written by Shellback and Max Martin, with additional writing by Tiffany Amber.

The song differentiates itself from anything Britney has sung on before since the song is a guitar-driven midtempo ballad, which incorporates a folk-style flute melody. The songs lyrics works very well with the just released accompanying music video directed by Chris Marrs Piliero. Chris also directed the video for "I Wanna Go" and he's got a very movie plot/photography-like style in this video as well, but while "I Wanna Go" was humorous, "Criminal" got a more mature and serious tone.

In the verses Britney sings about being in love with a bad boy/criminal with lyrics like "He is a hustler / He's no good at all / He is a loser, he's a bum, bum, bum, bum" and "He is a bad boy with a tainted heart / And even I know this ain't smart". In the chorus she pleads to her mother not to worry in lines such as "But mama im in love with a criminal" and "Mama please don't cry / I will be alright", comparable to the lyrics in Madonna's "Papa, don't preach". And in the video Britney runs away with a guy that saves her from a creep at a fancy happening, then the video is giving us shorts snippets of Britney's new life together with this guy that clearly is a criminal. All of this mixed up with various hot sex scenes that fit well with the ending of all choruses: "And this type of love isn't rational / It's physical". Only Britney can make flutes sexy.

Video Update: Enrique Iglesias - I like how it feels (feat. Pitbull)

Here's the video for Enrique's latest single which is taken from the upcoming re-release of his album "Euphoria". The video is made up of random concert and backstage footage, but it at least succeed in bringing out that party feeling. The single is available Oct. 4 (US) & Nov. 6 (UK).

Enrique Iglesias - I like how it feels (feat. Pitbull)

Jessie J - Who you are

"Who you are" are a self-empowering song in the same vain as Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" and Lady Gaga's "Born this way". It's the first song that I heard with Jessie J and also my favorite of hers. It's a slow ballad with heartfelt vocals. The song was written by Jessie J along with Toby Gad and Shelly Peiken.

"Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart.
Tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising,
Just be true to who you are!"

Jessie J - Who you are

Adele - Someone like you

The long awaited video for Adele's "Someone like you" is here. And like the song it's a scaled down beautiful and sad affair -in black and white. The video was shot in the beautiful streets of Paris.

Max Barskih - Lost in love

It's not everyday Eastern Europe is presenting a super competent popstar to us that also has a great international pop hit to back it up. But now that just happened. Here's Ukraine Max Barskih with his song "Lost in love". Could make it big, right? We'll certainly keep our eyes on him(no pun intended).

The Wanted - Lightning

The wanted knows how we like it. They've released a new single along with a video. And both are great and exactly what we want and expect from them. It's dance/pop with killer hooks and the video is an outdoor rave party gone wild. The song's about sharing a kiss with that special someone you've had your eyes on.

Video Update: Aqua - Playmate to Jesus

Aqua is back for real, as you know. And here's the video for their lead single "Playmate to Jesus" and as with most of their videos it got a very strong concept. The new video, as well as their new songs, are more mature.  This video is very dark. There is something black smokey lurking in an old house. Aqua is investigating and standing around in the building while singing.

The whole video only uses black and different shades of grey except for some green grass in some of the rooms. Lene is styled in very architectural and futuristic clothes with a clear samurai influenced style, with the use of a kimono and a traditional hairdo. With Lene's use of Noritaka Tatehana shoes I'm sure many people now will compare her to Lady Gaga which is ridiculous. The Michael Christensen directed video is beautiful though so be sure to check it out.

Smoke
Keys in strings

HandS - No Romance

HandS is a Norweigan duo who has perfected the "tears on the dancefloor"-song concept with their debut track "No Romance".

HandS - No Romance

Darren Hayes - Black Out The Sun / Bloodstained Heart

Australian singer Darren Hayes' second single from his new album "Secret Codes & Battleships" is called "Black Out The Sun". In the UK and Internationally that is, because in Australia it's "Bloodstained Heart".
"Black Out The Sun" was co-written by Darren Hayes and Swedish writer and producer Carl Falk.

Both songs are sad mid-tempo-ish pop-ballads that are really great so I couldn't just post just one of them. Which one do u prefer?

Lana Del Rey - Video Games

This is quite extraordinary I think. Lana Del Rey is a new artist that feels like a mix between Marina & The Diamonds and Bridget Bardot. She mixes 60's glam, surf and hollywood pop. Watch the great music video for "Video Games" from her double-A single "Video Games/Blue Jeans". It will also be available on 7' vinyl for all you retro-fans.

September - Me & My Microphone

After being released in February in Sweden, September is now unleashing her single "Me & My Microphone" in the UK with this super fresh music video to accompany it.The song is written by a number of writers consisting of September, Thomas Rusiak, Niklas Bergwall, Petter and Daniel Alexander, and produced by Niklas Bergwall. The track has one of the most massive drum beats I've ever heard. It's really a dance track that screams dancefloor!  The lyrics center around September's special relationship with her microphone(!).

In the video September seem to be dealing with some fishy business. She's driving in a black car with tinted windows flanked by two people, they make a deal and receive an aluminum suitcase from some guy and rush into an elevator. As soon as the doors have closed her and her people bust out a major choreography. Watch the video below to find out what's in the suitcase.

September - Me & My Microphone

Jennifer Lopez - Papi

"Papi" is Jennifer Lopez latest single and many of you might have heard it already since it also was a promotional track for her "Love?" album. The song is not too far off from her major hit On the floor", and this should do nearly as well on the charts. The melody is driven by pounding drums and synths and is a latin and trance flavored  dance-pop song.

The lyrics center around Lopez's love for dancing for her man and was written by Bilal Hajji, Achraf Janussi, Novel Janussi, Jimmy Joker, RedOne and Geraldo Sandell.

The music video is directed by Paul Hunter who also directed the videos for J.Lo's old hits "Love Don't Cost a Thing" and "If You Had My Love". Just like in those videos "Papi" has got a distinctive story that it centers around. J.Lo gets a cookie from this sweet girl who tell J.Lo that her love will come back to her if she eats it. The girl also say that J.Lo only should eat small pieces of the cake - but too late - she's already finished half of it. The next morning J.Lo is chased by random lovers on the street and it soon gets out of control...

Agnes - Don't go breaking my heart

I adore Agnes, after her international success with "Release Me" and her album "Dance Love Pop", she's now returning with new material -finally! It's the lead single from her upcoming 4th album, the track called "Don't go breaking my heart".

On the new single Agnes has left Anders Hanson who co-wrote all the songs on her famous album, and gone and written a song herself with help from Swedish artist(and Agnes boyfriend) Vincent, Liv and Mim Nervo, and Matthias Lidehäll. It's got a fantastic beat, a jolly synthesizer melody, and some strings that builds on the sound from "Release Me", and what is a Swedish pop-song without an infectious chorus? -nothing, and it's nothing short of great.

Enrique Iglesias - I like how it feels (feat. Pitbull)

Enrique is re-releasing his album "Euphoria" with a few new tracks. First out is this track that is called "I like how it feels" where he's joined by Pitbull. It's not one of the usual topics for Enrique in this song -he's not gonna cry, die or sex you up. This song is all about celebrating life and being jolly -and I like it.

The production screams stage anthem, and it's got a lots of bells & whistles to it -yes, real whistles and a football audience as a choir, no real bells though. It's obvious that it's made to be played in on big venues, arenas and stadiums. Pitbull and Iglesias ARE gonna tour america together this fall, so be sure to hear this song if you go and see them. And as per usual as of late with these two gentlemen -behind the production you'll find RedOne.

On other news, another of the new tracks on the re-release will be a collaboration with Jennifer Lopez called "Mouth2Mouth". We're quite excited for a Iglesias/Lopez duet -could be sweet.

Enrique Iglesias - I like how it feels (feat. Pitbull)

Nayer - Suave (Kiss Me) feat. Pitbull & Mohombi

The American singer-songwriter Nayer is giving us an answer to Pitbull's song "Give Me Everything", which she featured on, with her own RedOne-track featuring - you guessed it! - Pitbull!! Swedish-Congolese artist Mohombi is also contributing with vocals on the track.

The song is called "Suave (Kiss Me)", is just as good as Pitbull's song and have a sample from Elvis Crespo's song "Suavemente".

Nayer - Suave (Kiss Me) feat. Pitbull & Mohombi

Anjulie - Brand New Bitch

Canadian dance songstress Anjulie has a new video out. It's called "Brand New Bitch" and is the first single from her upcoming sophomore album due for release in 2012. You don't need to tell us much more than a dance diva is having a song with the word bitch in it to have me hooked. YES -sometimes I'm that predictable, so what? ;)

Anjulie - Brand New Bitch

Julian Perretta - If I Ever Feel Better

I liked Julian Perretta before, but after this I love him! Can't stop listening to this. The singer-writer has gone and done a soul/pop-hit -and I can't get enough off it. Check out the video now -it's an order! I would describe it being a mix between Maroon 5's "Moves like Jagger", Robin Thicke and a splash Frankmusik maybe.

Kara - Step

"Step" is the lead single from K-pop band Kara's new album with the same name. The track is a rock-electronica themed song that was written by producer duo Han Jae Ho and Kim Seung Soo(Sweetune).

The girls are so busy in Japan right now and have lots of commitments there so they will only do promotion for this album during 3 weeks. The girls seem determent to blow out the competition though with this smash. It's catchy, straight-forward and playful and got a "tra la la la" that def. will get stuck in your head. The video screams pop! There ain't no hard make-up, edgy/fierce clothes, or artsy or downscaled sets -this is a huge happy fun party that's bursting with color, happy/laughing faces and synchronized dancing. We love this!

Kara - Step

Skylar Grey - Invisible

Here you have Skylar Grey's lead single off her upcoming album, "Invinsible". The song is mellow, a bit avant garde and indie-sounding, but yet commercial ballad. The whole album is produced with Alex da Kid, and is set to feature Marilyn Manson.

Skylar Grey - Invisible

Maria Mena - Homeless

Norwegian singer-songwriter Maria Mena is giving us the second single, "Homeless" from her 5th album "Viktoria" to be released later this fall. Maria has a the unique ability to make all her songs sound personal, and at the same time make you relate and feel that they're about you. Listen to this wonderful song about the struggles of a relationship.

Maria Mena - Homeless

Mohombi - Maraca

Mohombi has unleashed the first single from his TBA 2nd album, and it sounds.....pretty much like his previous singles. It's catchy, infectious and sounds hard and trancy -the sound that RedOne do, oh so well. The single is out now and was written by Mohombi, RedOne, Geraldo Sandell and Jimmy Thörnfeldt.

Loreen - Sober

Loreen's follow up single to the sublime "My heart is refusing me"(who was in the running to represent Sweden in Eurovision Song Contest) was released yesterday and it's called "Sober". Both singles will be included in Loreen's upcoming yet-to-be-named EP.

It's hard to follow up such a huge hit and amazing first single, and while "Sober" doesn't succeed the previous single, it's still a good track. Or scratch that it's a GREAT track. When the strings starts and then the vocals kick in you think it's a ballad, but don't be fooled. The track soon starts to pick up the  pace and goes into a house beat while Loreen demonstrate her wide vocal range and her emotional unique tone.

Loreen is definitely one of our favorite débutantes of 2011.

Wynter Gordon - Buy my love

Wynter Gordon is back with yet a great single and accompanying video. Our love for Wynter just gets bigger and bigger. On her latest track she's THE material girl. She says that there's more ways to show emotion, buying her love with shopping sprees and trips might not work, but you should at least give it a try. How hardcore ain't that?? The track is more pop and less dance than her previous singles. Which is surprising when no other than Axwell of Swedish House Mafia produced this track. Wynter and Nicole Morier co-wrote the track with Axwell.

The video is a chapter in itself. It's an 80's explosion!! Which I off course can't help but love. From the colorful fat fonts, the grain filter, the dance moves to the Diana Ross-esque hair! The setting fits well with the songs lyrics when it takes place within a second hand store. Director Bec Stupak did a great job.

The single is featured on both Wynter's EP and Album with the shared name of "With the music I die".

Aqua - Playmate to Jesus / Like a robot

Aqua is releasing a double A-side single next week. The first one is called "Playmate to Jesus", which is a catchy indiepop ballad with strings.

Aqua - Playmate to Jesus

The second single is "Like a Robot", which is a modern dance pop gem, with lyrics that reminds of old Aqua in the sense that the lyrics are quite funny. Rene sings "Nothing's good for you", while Lene answers with that she needs a real man and that he "still fuck's me like a robot".

Aqua - Like a robot

It's so nice to hear Lene's voice again, and new great material finally -welcome back Aqua!

Flo Rida - Good feeling

This wasn't anything I was expecting from Flo Rida. His new single "Good Feeling" is produced by Avicii and Dr. Luke, and even samples Etta James old song "Something's got a hold on me". And it's very good indeed. It's house, it's dance, and between the great track, the sample that grabs you, there's Flo Rida's rapping, which works well and sounds like a lot of the music that we get right now where R&B artists raps over dance tracks, but this songs give it another dimension due to the fact that it's so well produced aswell as the Etta James sample.

David Guetta got a new album out

As the title states, French DJ David Guetta has released his new album called "Nothing but the beat", and several tracks from it are climbing various digital charts. To promote this great album, I'm highlighting my 3 favorites from it.

First out we have the current single "Titanium" featuring Australian pop and jazz singer and songwriter Sia. Sia's got a voice with one of the most distinguished tone's in the music industry, and her vocals delivers on this track. It's one of those house songs where the music builds and builds and then fades out in the beginning of the chorus to give space to the vocals, but before each chorus ends the music explodes in euphoria.

"What about the lyrics then?", you say. Well... to be honest the lyrics ain't that important in this kinds of songs, it could've been sung in another language and it would still be as great. But the lyrics actually is good too, Sia sings about that's she's bulletproof and that nothing will hurt her -'cuz she's Titanium, dude!

David Guetta - Titanium (feat. Sia)

See my other 2 favorites after the break

Marcus Foster - I was broken

Marcus Foster is a British singer-songwriter who wrote a track for the soundtrack of the first Twilight movie, then sung by teenage heartthrob Rob Pattinson("Let me sign"). Now Marcus Foster is releasing a new song, this time sung by himself, but in the video he's supported by yet another Twilight star -Kristen Stewart. We love this song as much as we loved "Let me sign", they're equally emotional and equally breaks our hearts, this is a really really sad song.

"I Was Broken" is  out 19 September.. The track is taken from his debut album "Nameless Path", released 26 September.

Marcus Foster - I was broken

Kelly Clarkson - Mr. Know it all

Kelly Clarkson is coming back with a bit of a new sound for her. It's still pop/rock, but it's not the same power shouting that she's done with previous hits like "Since you been gone" and "My life would suck without you", but it's still very catchy. I approve and think that this will be a big hit. The song is written by Brian Kennedy, Ester Dean, Brett James, and Dante Jones

Joe Goddard - Gabriel (feat. Valentina)

Joe Goddard is one half of the English electronic indie act, Hot Chip. And when you listen to his solo EP "Gabriel" it's hard to not think of them. The difference here is that the music is a bit darker and got a more house oriented sound, without loosing that special indie-feeling though(much thanks to the vocals performed by Valentina). It's my desire that this will become huge and that the general public will take this unique song to their hearts. If I can have my way I want this heartbreaking song to be be this years "With Everyheartbeat".

To Kill A King - Bloody Shirt

The lads from the UK, I like 'em. Their group, formed in 2009, To Kill A King, I really really like it. And the song, "Bloody Shirt," very much like it.

For now, listen to this. As their new single "We Used to Protest/Gamble" releases, I will post it here.

Emeli Sandé - Heaven

Emeli Sandé is of Scottish descent and has written songs for a number of stars like She has written for a number of artists, including Cher Lloyd, Susan Boyle, Leona Lewis, Cheryl Cole, and Tinie Tempah. Simon Cowell has called her "his favourite songwriter at the minute".

Her debut single is called "Heaven" and is a drum'n'bass/dubstep-fusion topped with Sandé's beautiful vocals. The song debuted at #2 on the UK singles chart, and her album "Our Version of Events" is slated for a November release.

Emeli Sandé - Heaven

JoJo - Disaster

JoJo shot to stardom with her debut single "Leave (Get Out)" a couple of years ago, and her two first albums sold 3, and 2 millions respectively. JoJo recorded a third album, but her label refused to release it.

Now 5 years after the release after her sophomore album "The High Road" and a label transition later, JoJo is now giving us "Disaster" -the first official single from her third album "Jumping Trains". The new track got a pop/rock sound much similar to her previous hits "Leave (Get Out)" and "Too Little Too Late". As the title suggests it's about a relationship that turned into something that usually ends up on a junkyard.

JoJo - Disaster

LCTRISC - Sunbird

Here is "Sunbird" by the Nordic duo who identifies themselves as Lenny and Leslie. But hey, don't get mistaken for their names-they are dudes. And their band is called LCTRISC .

The video was directed by Johan Stolpe. "Sunbird" is a fantastic little melancholic jewel with amazing lines like "Your wings are made of black leather, while mine are made of memories".

Charice - One Day

The tiny Philippino girl with the enormous voice - Charice - is back with a new single. It's called "One Day", and I really like it. It's a powerful mid-tempo ballad about empowerment. Charice sings about that nothing will stop her and that she'll make you all believe in her.

The song was written by Jonas Brother Nick, and Dan Muckala and Jason Ingram.

Charice - One Day

M83 - Midnight City

M83 is a French electronic/dream pop act by French artist Anthony Gonzalez. The band, along with its one of its former member, has been around since 2001. So far, they have released four albums, and the fifth one "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming" is slated for an October release.

Here's the first single from that very album, "Midnight City."

I really like the entire electronic feel, and yes, the sax toward the end of the song, too.

M83 - Midnight City

Peter, Bjorn, and John - Dig A Little Deeper

It seems I am on a musical spree today. I have three posts for you on a single day--that's soemthing!

Here's Sweden's own PB&J. In their new album "Gimme Song," I like their simplicity--the vocals aren't overpowerd by the instruments, and the instruments simply strikes with the vocals. It's just simple drums, bass, guitar.

From this album, I like "Second Chance" but what stands out for me is "Dig a Little Deeper." I just love the drums and then the guitar in the beginning of the song--and throughout it as well.

Take a listen.

Bella Vida - Kiss kiss me bang bang

Bella Vida consists of sisters Hayley and Taylor-Ann Hasslehoff -and YES, they're the daughters of David Hasslehoff. Before you dismiss them due to their b-celebrity dad, this song is quite fab. It's a fun poptrack that got a similar sound to former UK-pop duo Mini Viva. Hope the girls can put out more songs equally good.

Catalin Josan - Walking on fire

Catalin Josan is a famous singer-songwriter from Romania. His latest single is called "Walking on fire". And how does it sound you may ask now? Well, I would say the song is guitar based backed up by orchestral features, and is a typical summer jam. The singer sounds a bit like James Morrison.

Remady - Way we are

Swiss producer Remady who got his break in the UK with his club track "No Superstar" and his collaboration with Craig David on "Do it on my own" is back with the lead single from his upcoming album. The track is called "Way we are" and is joined again by Manu-L on vocals. He was featured on the majority of tracks on Remady's last album.

Remady - Way we are

Beyoncé - 1+1

Beyoncé is already giving us a new single with accompanying music video. The song is written by The Dream, Beyoncé herself and Christopher Stewart.

The song is a down-tempo power R&B/Soul ballad, and lyrics wise Beyoncé expresses her endless love for her interest, while they center around the line ""I don’t know much about algebra, but I know that one plus one equals two".
The video as well as the instruments are very minimalistic. I would say that Beyoncé is sensually and sexually approaching art with help of scaled down visuals and digitalized effects that gives a beautiful and fitting result.

Beyoncé - 1+1

Rihanna - Cheers (Drink To That)

Have a listen to Rihanna's latest party anthem, "Cheers (Drink To That), while watching various clips and shots from Rihanna's latest tour as well as various activities she did during her homecoming trip to Barbados.

The song was written by a loads of people, namely: Andrew Harr, Jermaine Jackson, Stacey Barthe, Laura Pergolizzi, Corey Gibson, Chris Ivery, Lauren Christy, Graham Edwards, Avril Lavigne and Scott Spock. The song was produced by The Runners. Why so many writers are mentioned here is due to samples of Avril Lavigne's song "I'm with you" from 2002.

Army Navy - The Long Goodbye

Here's an indie band from Los Angeles, Army Navy. The trio released their first album in 2008 titled "The Fever Zone." Three years later, they now have their new album titled "The Last Place."

And from the very album, here's "The Long Goodbye." I like the song, and it's going to be on my repeat list for the day. It's got that indie-feel, and I'm just trying to remember who do I relate this band too...they sound somewhat like...

Rebecca & Fiona - Hard

DJ duo Rebecca & Fiona is premiering their new video for the single "Hard". It's their most instrumental single yet, there's barely any vocals on it, but it's still a cool and intriguing track -the same goes for the video.

Rebecca & Fiona  - Hard

Strange Talk - Climbing Walls

It was a boring day today-- it was raining half the day, and then there was no interesting music to listen to as well. This was when Mr. Poposphere himself pinged me, and here I am listening, and also posting, this song.

The song by this Australian band Strange Talk is indeed very electro-pop. It brings back that theme and feel of listening to most of those electro-pop or enectro-pop-indie bands.

Here's one of their tracks from the album they released in April.

Bombay Bicycle Club - Shuffle

Here's another indie band from the United Kingdom, and they're called Bombay Bicycle Club. I wonder where the name comes from.

Well, they've been around for a while and have released three albums. This is a single from their new album titled "Shuffle"slated for release on August 29.

I like the song, and see it on repeat on my play list (But for now, I'm like stuck to Super Junior that my dear friend just posted here!)

Lo-Fi-Fnk - Boom

Lo-Fi-Fnk is a electro-pop duo from Sweden. Last week they released their second album "The Last Summer" which include their current summer single "Boom". Which I would describe as a mix between pop, a Daft Punk track and indie vocals. Listen to the orgasm like result below:

Tove Styrke - Call my name

Former Swedish Idol contestant Tove Styrke is already back with a new material. This time she's been working with Janne Kask and Peter Ågren, who also wrote "White Light Moment" for Tove -a song that was the next most played song on radio this year on Swedish radio.

Head over to Tove Styrke's official website to have a listen.

Super Junior - Mr. Simple

Super Junior is one of my favorite Korean acts and with this new video "Mr. Simple" they really deliver. This just screams "smash!". It starts out as a gorgeous jazzy number with raw emotional soul vocals that give you a catchy hotel lounge feel or maybe bring you back to an old school dance scene from a hollywood musical(but yet with a modern feel).

All that change 40 sec into the music video though when a stomping hard electronic beat with fiercely delivered verses emerges. Everything has turned into a hot catchy supershow fit for Korean pop-superstars.

Super Junior - Mr. Simple

Avicii - Fade into darkness

Do you remember Leona Lewis new single "Collide" that we premiered a month ago? Well Avicii that produced that song's background track has now put his own creativity to it with male vocals over it and releasing it as his own single under the title "Fade into darkness". Which version do you prefer?

Snow Patrol - Called Out In The Dark

The Northern Ireland band Snow Patrol is back with a new song and they've got a slightly new approach. The song sounds more indie pop and less alternative rock, which is what they usually do. And the music video it's got dancing in it! And we can't do anything but looove this and urge you to watch the video.

Snow Patrol - Called Out In The Dark

Mika - Elle Me Dit

This past month Mika released his first French single called "Elle Me Dit"(=She Tells Me), from his upcoming album "The Origin of Love". Now the video is being released and it's a happy feast with a dancing and singing family, who does just that to the song. French actress Fanny Ardant also makes an appearance in the video. The song has peaked at #6 in French iTunes.

Mika - Elle Me Dit

Frida Gold - Wovon Sollen Wir Träumen

Frida Gold(or Brandon Flowers, since the band got double names) is a German band that makes catchy pop music with German lyrics. They have even toured with Kylie Minogue on her Aphrodite -Les Folies Tour. And I just love this dancepop track that they released this spring. It's always nice to hear great pop music sung in their native language rather than everything just being in English.

The title "Wovon Sollen Wir Träumen" asks the question "What shall we dream?". The song can be found on the album "Juwel", which is out now.

Gökmen - Cuk Oturdu

I've decided that it's time for you to sway your arms along to another Turkish disco-smash again. Today we've got Gökmen's infectious track "Cuk Oturdu".

Gökmen - Cuk Oturdu

Jason Derülo - It Girl

Jason Derülo deliver his second single from upcoming sophomore album "Future History". The new single is called "It Girl" -and no, it's not about fashionable girls, rather potential girlfriend material for Derülo. It's a decent old school R&B track.

Jason Derülo - It Girl

Lady Gaga - Yoü and I

"Yoü and I" is the latest single to be released from Gaga's "Born This Way" -album. It's written by Gaga and co-produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange. The song is influenced by country and rock 'n' roll, and even samples Queen's "We Will Rock You" (1977) and features electric guitar by Brian May.

The video is amazing, and quite the spectacular(as often is the case when it comes to Gaga, as you know), but the slow song inspired by one of her ex boyfriends? -nah, not my cup of tea. But the video is worth watching -if only to see some mermaid love making.

Ricky Martin - Frío (feat. Wisin & Yandel)

Here's Ricky Martin's third single from his latest album Música + Alma + Sexo.

About the this song, which means "Cold" in English, in a Billboard interview, he described the track as: "I fell in love with the melody of this song, which was brought to me by Wisin & Yandel."

Take a listen to find out for yourself.

Video Update: Gym Class Heroes featuring Adam Levine - Stereo Hearts

This is one of my favorite songs in my play list these days. We did post a video for this song, which was pretty well-made; it did seem like an "official video."

But here is the official one. You do see Travie McCoy and Adam Levine in the video. And I love the shadow-play in the video.

Cobra Starship featuring Sabi - You Make Me Feel...

Here's an American pop-punk/synthpop group Cobra Starship.I had listened to their previous song "Good Girls Go Bad" but that was it.

I stumbled upon their new single this afternoon from their new album due August 31. The single titled "You Make Me Feel..."features American singer-songwriter and actress Sabi who has been seen with the likes of Britney Spears.

I kinda like the photo booth theme of the video--it's appealing and fun. And yea, watch out for Zelda Williams and her dad Robbie Williams in the video.

As for the song, I do want to give it a thumbs up for the energy.

Marvin Priest - Take Me Away (feat. Wynter Gordon)

Marvin Priest is the son of reggae star Maxi Priest, and signed to Universal Music Australia. He recorded his debut single together with Brian McFadden in Sydney. The song has climbed the ARIA charts, and now Marvin is releasing his second single called "Take Me Away" featuring one of our soft spots when it comes to dance artists -Wynter Gordon. Which is a smart move since Wynter recently had great success in Aussieland.

I would describe "Take Me Away" as a mix between a traditional 90's dance song with a updated urban sound to it.

Nicola Roberts - Lucky Day

Nicola Roberts, former member of British girlband Girls Aloud, is releasing the video for her fresh new single "Lucky Day". The video is fun and quirky -and so is the song. It's a mix of all kinds of things, it sounds indie, it sounds like 60's pop, and yet a modern dance song in it's production. I was very skeptic about this to begin with and I haven't been that found of Nicola previously, but I do love this. It's a treat. Maybe the dress in the video is a tiny bit too short.... What do u reckon?

Party Friday: PNAU - Solid Ground (Adrian Lux & Blende Remix)

Austrialian dance act PNAU is making a comeback with the new single "Solid Ground", which is a lovely retro, a bit ABBA-sounding piece of pop/dance-music. However I this remix by Swedish DJ's Adrian Lux & Blende is heaven filled with sugarcoated strobelights and sundowns -it's THAT good. Never been to Ibiza, but this song takes me to what I think Ibiza is all about.

The Saturdays - All Fired Up

The video for The Saturdays second single "All Fired Up" from the new yet to be titled upcoming album. And what a stunner it is -love the song, love the styling and the photography. I would actually say that the music video very much look like an Korean(Asian) pop video -which is not a bad thing -they're often very stylish and cohesive.

The Saturdays - All Fired Up

Sugababes - Freedom

Sugababes premiering the video for "Freedom" the first single from their new album. Now it's make if or break it time for the girls, but I think the track has shaped up really nice since the first snippets we heard of the song(maybe mainly due to the horribly disturbing Nokia-ad it was featured in). The song is catchy and midtempo although using a lot of trance-sounds.

Sugababes - Freedom

Oh Land - White Nights

Danish singer-songwriter Oh Land is treating us to more of her delicious alternative pop when she release international single #2 from her self titled album. And what a video to accompany -simply exquisite! It got so many elements to it.

Cee Lo Green - Cry Baby

Cee Lo Green, is doing what his fellow judging colleagues in The Voice have done -riding on their recently gained extra popularity and putting out a new single. The new track is far from a new "Fuck You", but it's a nice retro-trip back to the 60's with Green usual powerhouse vocals toned down and softened. It's a cute track(not the lyrics though, folks).

Cee Lo Green - Cry Baby

Video Update: Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger (feat. Christina Aguilera)

The video for the wonderful disco-pop number that is "Moves Like Jagger" has arrived. The happy song still makes us wanna dance and the video include both Christina Aguilera in a hat and a shirtless Adam Levine, as well as old and new photage of Mick Jagger, all of them dancing(or showing off their best Jagger moves if you will) individually on a stage. Everything is topped by a grain layer to make it look vintage. Still love the song, but the video? -nah, had higher expectations.

Yasmin - Light Up The World (feat. Shy FX)

The British DJ and singer Yasmin is premiering her latest single, and yeah... it got a light drum 'n' bass sound that reminds us of other acts like Pendelum, Prodigy, Groove Armada etc. I like it, but it's not as good as her previous singles, or what do you say?

Yasmin - Light Up The World (feat. Shy FX)

James Morrison - I Won't Let You Go

James Morrison is back with a new single. "I Won't Let You Go" is taken from his upcoming 3rd album "The Awakening".

Reeve Carney feat. Bono - Rise Above 1

Reeve Carney plays Spiderman in the Broadway show. But more than that, as a singer, he has sung with the likes of Michael Jackson and B B King.

Here, he sings with the U2 frontman Bono. I like the music. I can hear it playing on my play list for quite sometime.

Enrique Iglesias - Ayer

Enrique Igleasias is premiering the video for his song "Ayer".

Ellie Goulding - Starry Eyed

If you didn't read or hear about Ellie Goulding last year, you: 1. Missed one of the best albums last year and one hell of a amazing voice. 2.You get another chance here and now as Ellie is releasing a new video for her song "Starry Eyed", that was filmed especially for the US market.

"Starry Eyed" is still as wonderful as the first time I heard it, and the new video is cute and quite beautiful with it's litterly magic moments, Ellie in a knitted hat, a space nebula, and special effects flying around. Check it out.

Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger (feat. Christina Aguilera )

Just a couple of days ago, I posted Adam Levine with the Gym Class Heroes. Lately, the Maroon 5 frontman has collaborated with Christina Aguilera. The single is called "Moves Like Jagger."

The song is upbeat and has a good tempo. Wouldn't say legendary but good until it lasts.

Will Young - Jealousy

Will Young debuts lead single Jealousy. It's a dance track produced by the fantastic producer Richard X with balladry-like vocals over it, not too different to Leona Lewis new single, but I would rather describe "Jealousy" as me it's a dreamy dance track that that could've been a modern Eurythmics-song. The song is rather heartfelt with Will Young's vocals pouring out lines as "And my whole world is under attack. What kinda love am I facing?".

The single is being released on August 21st, with the new album "Echoes" being released the following day.

UPDATE: The video is here!

Will Young - Jealousy

Former Mini Viva-member, Britt Love, going solo

The British duo act Mini Viva had was successful with their first single "Left My Heart in Tokyo" and got good reviews and released two more singles and an album, but they failed to follow up the sales of the lead single and split late last year. Now one of the girls, Britt Love, is trying it out on her own with the Youth Kills-produced single "Come With Me".

And What does it all sounds like? Well, it sounds like a member of Mini Viva singing over a track that could be a Xenomania-attempt to repeat Robyn's success with "With Every Heartbeat" -exactly like that actually. But I LOVE it. If you gonna rip-off/make a tribute to someone, learn from the best.

Gym Class Heroes - Stereo Hearts (feat. Adam Levine)

This video evokes some nostalgia: Remember the stereo? Well, have to admit that I belong to the stereo generation, well before the CDs and the iPods. I remember buying cassettes and then rewinding it like 100 times to go back to the favorite part of the song, the chorus and to write down the lyrics.

Here's Gym Class Heroes with their latest album and single. This album is a contiunity to their second album The Papercut Chronicles. It's also a comeback for the band after their lead singer Travie McCoy went solo in 2010.

And yes, to add up more spice to the song, it features Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine.

Repeat of the Day: McLean - My Name (Ian Carey remix video)

As I was going through my playlist in my notebook, I suddenly got hold of this song. I never knew I had downloaded this song or it existed. But since last night, this song has been on repeat. Here's McLean for ya'll.

Pitbull - Rain Over Me (feat. Marc Anthony)

After joining Jennifer Lopez on her big comeback single "On the floor", Pitbull is now teaming up with the other half of the couple....wait, hang on, that's right, they recently got divorced.....ah, whatever. Pitbull in other words got Puerto Rican-American singer Marc Anthony to sing the chorus on his latest hit. We like this dance sound, it's catchy and the "ay ay ay..." give us that tiny latin-flavor which is nice.As was the case with "On The Floor", "Rain Over Me" is also produced by the American pop industry's new lovechild RedOne. The video is directed by David Rousseau.

Luigi Masi - Pick Up Line

Luigi Masi declared that he was gonna retire for a while after releasing his debut album with three top10 singles on the UK Chart. But it seem that he couldn't keep away from the music business for long, because now he's teasing us with new material in form of the track "Pick Up Line". It's not as good as "Strobelight" or "Armed with love", but it's a decent track and we're excited just to hear more from him.

The track is already out on iTunes and Spotify.

Luigi Masi - Pick Up Line

Ed Sheeran - The A Team

This video has been around for a year, but the song "The A Team" just got released in UK last month and immediately nabbed the number 3 spot on the UK Chart. And no question why he did. It's a wonderful ballad and the young 20-year old can easily keep up and deserve to be compared to artists like James Blunt, David Gray, Joshua Radin and James Morrison. This is the type of singer-songwriter tracks that we absolutely love.

I have a bit of a struggle to figure out 2 things: 1) He's voice/tone reminds us A LOT of another singer, but who? 2) What is the song about, really? Any clues? Feel free to leave answers in the comments section. Id appreciate it. :)

Ed Sheeran - The A Team

Giorgia - Il Mio Giorno Migliore

A really good Italian pop song from singer Giorgia. Giorgia is one of the most famous artists in Italy and has released over 10 studio albums. Now she's premiering the video for her brand new track "Il Mio Giorno Migliore(~"My Best Day")".

The now 40 year old singer still showcases that she's got a wonderful soulful tone and still got her register and vocal abilities intact. The song got a somewhat modern pop sound disguising a classic Italy-pop formula. But we don't mind, not at all. It's catchy, emotional, engaging and makes us wanna move and sing along.

The video shows shots of Giorgia shaking her body in the same spot and singing in different colorful outfits with various backgrounds changing behind her. What sets this video apart from many other videos is the fantastic photography and the dynamic special effects that's added to it. Our favorite parts though must be the hilarious choreography and massive syncronised dancing her dancers are occupying themselves with.

Georgia - Il Mio Giorno Migliore

Gummy - Love Recipe

They say that the way to a man's heart goes through the stomach. If that's true maybe Korean artist Gummy have the answer with her new song "Love Recipe".Gummy's music is something as unusual as sophisticated K-Pop, and the video for "Love Recipe" is as cute as the title with lots of doggy-love!

Washed Out - Amor Fati

In the league of new singers and releases, Ernest Greene is the latest addition. Greene who calles himself Washed Out has released his first full-length album Within and Without.

Upon why he named himself Washed Out, in an interview to NPR he says, "It basically means that a shot is overlit — just a little blown-out looking," Greene says. "People say that my music is like that."

About his music he further says, "I normally start at the computer with something really simple like a four-bar loop of a drum sample or a bass line. And then I just start adding layers of synthesizers."

Giorgio Tuma - New fabled stories

So who is Giorgio Tuma? They're the eight-member band from Lecce, Italy with Giorgio Tuma in the vocals. His voice is so mellow that it blends into the music in perfect synchronicity.

As we speak of summer, this tune has a very summery feel to it. Imagine a riverside picnic and then a relaxed afternoon with music as such. Bliss.

Lady Antebellum - Just a Kiss

"Just a Kiss" was one of the last songs recorded for Lady Antebellums third studio album "Own the night". The song was inspired by the band member Hillary Scott's love life. The song is about the love between two newly formed couples. The arrangement of the slow tempo power country ballad is typical for Lady Antebellum and resembles their huge hit "Need You Now" -which isn't a bad thing. Both songs are great.

Lady Antebellum - Just a Kiss

Emre Altuğ - Zil

Turkish actor and popular pop artist Emre Altuğ is premiering his latest video "Zil". Emre was working with American writers and producers a while back and was said to be working on an English language album, those plans must've been scratched or post-poned because on his new album(also named "Zil") is no English tracks to be found. But I don't mind as long as we continuously are getting great turk-pop songs like this.

Emre Altuğ - Zil

Luis Fonsi - Gritar

Luis Fonsi is a wellknown name in Latin America since he's Latin Grammy winning Puerto Rican singer and composer. His latest single is called "Gritar" and is a nice acoustic piece of traditional pop culture. And Luis encourage you to scream and shout(Gritar). So go ahead and sing(scream) along if you feel like it.

Luis Fonsi - Gritar

Pixie Lott - All About Tonight

Pixie Lott is back with new material. Here she premieres the video for her new single "All about tonight". And we get some new looks from Pixie along with a hairdo that ages her and legs, legs and legs. The song is happy, upbeat and fun. The single is scheduled to be released on September 4th.

Demi Lovato - Skyscraper

After dropping out of her headlining tour and getting into a treatment facility for emotional och physical issues back in October the 18 year old Disney starlet Demi Levato is premiering the first single from her upcoming third album which is said to be inspired by Rihanna and Keri Hilson and being a "little more pop, more R&B and more soulful" than her previous work according to Demi herself.

The new lead single is called "Skyscraper" and is written by Toby Gad, Kerli Kõiv and Lindy Robbins and was released digitally on the 12th of July. The song was originally written for Kerli's sophomore album. In the Mark Pellington-directed video Demi stands in a white dress in the Bonneville Salt Flats while singing "catching teardrops in my hands" with quivering voice. The song is quite simple, but yet effective, and Demi showcases her amazing vocals.

"You can take everything I have
You can break everything I am
Like I'm made of glass
Like I'm made of paper, Oh
Go on and try to tear me down
I will be rising from the ground
Like a skyscraper!"

Many songs has been about self-esteem recently, but rarely it's been as intimately personal as Demi gets here.
When she sings that "you can tear me down" but that she'll be ""rising from the ground, like a skyscraper", you feel the emotion and believe that it's self experienced, and that she really sees herself as a towering survivor. Demi Lovato describes the 12-hour video shoot as "both physically and mentally tough", and that she would break down and cry between cuts, "because this song is so personal".

Leona Lewis - Collide

Leona Lewis premiered her new single "Collide" on Scott Mills show on Radio One last Friday. It's a bit of a new direction for her. She's got help from progressive house DJ Avicii(aka Tim Berg) who's provided the backtrack for her. The song is also produced by Sandy Vee, and co-written by Autumn Rowe. In Leona's version she's singing a lovely ballad-ish melody that fits perfectly over the music which results in a beautiful forward-moving song with piano melodies. The song is a grower, would fit perfect as soundtrack to your car/train(whichever you prefer) ride, and kinda sounds like a dance remix of a ballad, so I imagine it would sound wonderful in an acoustic version as well.

"Collide" is the lead single from Leona Lewis third studio album scheduled to be released sometime late this year. Lewis describes her upcoming album as "energetic, deep, and unique". She also commented that it would have a darker tone and that she would be putting her "heart into the lyrics". She cited Tracy Chapman, Kate Bush and Tears for Fears as the album's primary influences.

Zero Assoluto - Questa Estate Strana

Our beloved Italian indie popping duo Zero Assoluto is treating us to a wonderful weird world with their new video, "Questa Estate Strana", which means this strange summer. And it is strange alright we're talking about skiing downhill stairs, journalists using ice creams as microphones, a girl eating hay in her living room,  an american football player throwing a huge fish during a match and things we can't even describe. But needless to say, this video has to be watched! And the song then? It's a great kinda mellow, chillout track with cutesy melancholic melodies.

Roger Sanchez is an American house DJ well known around the world with previous hits as "Another Chance", "Lost", and for this years collaboration with Far East Movement on the track "2gether". Now Roger is back with a super hot club track with fierce lyrics and hard beats called "Worldwide".

The track is the culmination of Roger's travels around the world, literally travelling “from Ibiza to Roma, London to Barcelona” on a weekly basis. The track was a collaboration between Sanchez, Australia's Mobin Master, and Canada's MC Flipside.

Simple Plan - Jet Lag (feat. Natasha Bedingfield)

It's been quite a while I haven't posted. I was jet lagged from hours of flight, I should say! Well, not really. Been traveling but not jet lagged. But here's a song about jet lag, and here's Simple Plan after a long time.

I like the airport for it's filmed in the airport. Airports have that special feeling--the joy of receiving someone and the pain of bidding farewell. And also, it's a place from where you start a new journey, head toward a new destination with so many dreams and aspirations.

So here it is: Simple Plan featuring Natasha Bedingfield.

Chipmunk - Take Off (feat. Trey Songz)

British pop rapper Chipmunk is doing a more traditional hip-hop with his latest single "Take Off". The track combines rap-versers and a sung chorus, sung by American R&B singer Trey Songz. I must say I really like this old school take. More of this plz. What do you reckon?

Chipmunk - Take Off (feat. Trey Songz)

Teddybears STHLM - No More Michael Jackson

We're a bit behind on this. The Electrorockers Teddybears STHLM premiered their new single "No More Michael Jackson" a year after The King of Pop's death. It's a nice tribute and goes balls out. Such bombastic beat.

Teddybears consist of Patrik Arve, Joakim Åhlund and Klas Åhlund. Maybe you ain't familiar with these names, but Klas has produced some pretty impressive hits for artists like Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Sugababes, Jordin Sparks, I Blame Coco, Ke$ha and most recently Robyn.

"No More Michael Jackson" is a part of and also the name of Teddybears new EP. They will release two more EP's the coming future. Teddybears recently signed a contract with street fashion brand WeSC that will be their new distributor -the EP's will for example be available for purchase directly in WeSC boutiques.

Have a listen to the four tracks off the EP "No More Michael Jackson" below.

Volga Tamöz - Şık Şık (feat. Murat Dalkılıç & Hepsi)

This is HOT! Hard trance beats meats ethnic rhythms in this Turkish dance fest -and you're all invited. Volga Tamöz is a Turkish producer that for example has helped written some songs for Hadise. Now he's releasing the first single and is joined by singer (one of our Turkish favorites) Murat Dalkılıç and R&B/pop girl group Hepsi on vocals. The result is nothing short of amazing. Now I want more throw-your-hands-in-the-air music with ethnic influences.

Nause - Made of

"Made of" a fantastic house record from new Swedish duo Nause. They've made quite the name for themselves with some remixes for Britney Spears, Tiësto, Rebecca | Fiona and Lazee. Here's their debut video:

Nause - Made of

Jay Sean - Like This Like That (feat. Birdman)

Jay Sean returns to his slicker slow jam R&B sounds with the third single from his yet to be released album "Freeze Time", called "Like This Like That". The the video is pretty straight forward, as is the lyrics -it's the typical "Imma sex U up gurl"-lyrics we've heard before, but we still quite like it. It's cute and catchy.

Above & Beyond - Thing Called Love (feat. Richard Bedford)

"Thing Called Love" has been raving on the dance floors throughout Europe this spring, but it's a still an amazing dance stomping track that deserves to be mentioned in our blog. The song is the latest single to be taken from the trance trio’s critically acclaimed album "Group Therapy".

"There’s a thing called love, that we all forget
And it’s a wasted love, that we all regret
You live your life just once
So don’t forget about a thing called love”

Video Update: Beyoncé - Best Thing I Never Had

Beyoncé premiers the video for her latest single "The Best Thing I Never Had".

The video is very pretty and quite romantic. It was filmed in Westchester county, Sleepy Hollow and Fort Greene by director Diane Martel. In the video Beyoncé is playing around in lingerie and getting dressed for her big day meanwhile she states in the song that she was the best thing he never had. In between we get cuts of old video footage of her prom night where her boyfriend at the time gets interested in another girl on the other dance floor and leaves Beyoncé.
The video then cuts back to the present and we get to follow her on the rest of her wedding day.
The song is taken from Beyoncés album "4".

Whigfield had a huge hit in the mid 90's with her single "Saturday Night". In the video she's getting herself ready for the evening while being in a towel. In Whigfields latest video she's getting made up again, but this time by a ton of professionals for a bit raunchy photo shoot. The song is called "C'est cool" and is a catchy piece of pop with a "Ba ra ba ba ra ba" that gets stuck in your head.

Introducing: Alex Saidac - We Shine

Alex  Saidac is a 22 year old tomboy from Sweden, been break dancing to earn a living, DJ-ing throughout Europe and before that she was in the wild countryside of Argentina training to become one of the leading female Polo players in Spain and Scandinavia...in the men's team -you get the picture. After all that she got an internship in LA to pursue her dream of a career as a recording artist.

Now Alex Saidac is signed to a Swedish label in Stockholm(for some reason the music video is posted on YouTube by AATW, so one can assume she's gonna have an international release too -at least in the UK). Her new hit-team consists of none other than Holter/Erixon that for example wrote some hit singles for Greek artist Kostas Martakis. Alex Saidac's debut single is called "We Shine" -and what a smash it is! This is one of our favorite songs this summer. If this chorus won't get you up dancing with your hands in the hair -I don't know what's wrong with you.

"We Shine" gets released July 13th in Sweden.

Video Update: Coldplay - Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

Coldplay has now released the video for their single "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall". The video follows the band playing across various colorful graffiti backdrops. It was filmed at Millennium Mills, near London City Airport. The mills also appear as the setting for a number of other music videos, including "Ask" by The Smiths, "Fluorescent Adolescent" by the Arctic Monkeys and "Take Back the City" by Snow Patrol.

This is what the Rolling Stones had to say about the video:
"Chris Martin has said that the graffiti of the early hip-hop movement in New York City in the Eighties was one of the chief inspirations for the songs on his band's forthcoming fifth album. In the video for "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall," the first video from the still-untitled record, the band fully embraces that influence with animated tags and drawings that mark the walls and ground around them as they rock out in a bombed-out industrial zone. The vibrant, colorful clip is well-suited to the song, which has a shaky, excited energy and the sort of optimistic, romantic lyrics that have made Coldplay one of the world's most crowd-pleasing rock bands."

M&D - Close Ur Mouth

M&D, is a South Korean project -a duo consisting of Heechul from South Korean boy band Super Junior and his SM Entertainment labelmate Jungmo from the rock band TRAX. The band name is an abbreviation for either "Midnight and Dawn" or "Miari and Dangyedong" in reference of Jungmo and Heechul's respective towns where they live.

Their debut song that they've written themselves is called "Close Ur Mouth" and make use of the duos respective backgrounds. It's a traditional K-Pop song with a catchy hook and some electric guitars thrown in for good measure.

The video is anything but standard high budget overproduced music videos that we're used to see from K-Pop acts. No, here we have a low budget video shoot in a Karaoke bar in Seoul directed by Heechul himself. Heechul is walking around in the bar's corridors while meeting and greeting different people, and it's quite the star studded video with cameos by famous K-Pop acts like Simon D, Miss A's Jia, FT Island members Hongki and Jonghun, BEAST Junhyung, and comedian Kim Gyeongjin.

Selena Gomez & The Scene - Love You Like A Love Song

Selena Gomez is back with yet another great pop/dance number. This time it's at a slower tempo than her usual hooky dance numbers, but by no means a ballad or a mid-tempo song. It's got grime sounds that are forming a pop beat. It's all very catchy. The track was written by Antonina Armato, Tim James, and Adam Schmalholz, and was produced by Rock Mafia.

In the video directed by Geremy Jasper and Georgie Greville, Selena is singing karaoke in an Asian karaoke barto different music videos, in which Selena also plays the different artists in them - all while singing the songs chorus "I-I love you like a love song, baby. And I keep hittin' repeat-peat-peat". The song is featured on Selena Gomez & The Scene's new album, released 28th of July.

Joe Jonas - See No More

Joe Jonas of The Jonas Brothers goes solo. The song is called "See No More" and is written by by Chris Brown and produced by Brian Kennedy. Joe describes said the following about the song to E! News: "The song is about a relationship ending and you’re trying to get over it, but at the same time you’ve got these mixed feelings [and] you’re fighting everything of seeing that person. It sounds like a sad song, but it carries a cool beat to it.”

It's a decent first try as a solo act, but this doesn't quite do it for us. But I don't doubt he'll have success. I'm just gonna hope for better material to come. What do you reccon? Joe's debut solo album is scheduled for a release on Sep 6th.

Cher Lloyd - Swagger Jagger

Cher Lloyd became famous while competing in X-factor UK. She stood out due to her tendency to do songs that she could both rap and sing in. Now she's releasing her first single showing off her personal style, it's a catchy and cool record, but one in a million right now that tells you to "get on the floor" -we're already there since the last song people! One could also argue that the song is about becoming as cool as Cher and get some Swagger.

Video Update: Eric Saade - Hearts in the air (feat. J-Son)

Here's the video for Eric Saade's "Hearts in the air" that we mentioned earlier.

The video is pretty straight forward. Eric and J-Son is playing videogames all day until their girlfriends complain and tell them to get their asses of the couch and go to work. Eric sings that "You keep telling me to grow up
Get a job and stop the kid stuff  Well, I hate to disappoint you then  ‘Cause I have walked the stage since times began"
and trying to convince us that being a pop star is a real job just like any else -riiight... ;) "

The Reason 4 - Take It All

The Reason 4(pronounced just "The Reason2) is a vocal group from Southampton, consisting of Nathan, Scott, Mark and Glenn whom been friends for 10 years.

The Reason 4 appeared on the series 7 of the TV-show The X-factor UK. They never made it to the live shows, but astounded the judges and the audiance in their first audition when they did a rendition of Chery Cole's "Fight For This Love", after which X-factor guru Simon Cowell labelled them as "one of [his] favourite groups this year".

After leaving X-Factor they got signed a major publishing deal with Sony/ATV, and is currently recording their debut album. The first single "Take It All" is written by the band and Andrew Murray, and will be released 7th August 2011, with the album following shortly after.

"Take It All" is a great ballad with beautiful vocal harmonies. The guys ain't just handsome, but can really really sing, and placing themselves musically somewhere between JLS and Take That.
