Elisa - Ecco che

Elisa has released a new song in Italy and it's climbing the charts and seem to be becoming a rather hit. It's traditional Italian pop, but wrapped in a rock coat. Maybe not the type of music we listen an awfully lot to, but this one has something. It's a decent pop song and has a rather infections vocal melody.

Eros Ramazzotti - Io Prima Di Te

Latest single from famous Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti is at one hand a classic melody-infectious Eros-track, but in one hand a modern popsong. It's a bit more uptempo than his usual stuff and the production sounds more contemporary, with a gorgeous synth melody in the intro and in the chorus accompanying his lovely voice.Yes - we admit that we're fans. And this is a song that doesn't disappoint one bit.Off course being Italian Eros we're a fashionable perfectly cut suit in the music video and in his normal fashion, that wonderful voice of his is obviously singing about love. The title of the song means "Me, before you" and is about all the he wasn't before his love came and completed him -something along those lines. Enjoy!

The return of the saxophones

For me saxophones takes me back to my childhood in the 90's, and I'm happy it is making a return in more and more contemporary songs. We had a huge hit in the eurodance song "Mr. Saxobeat" by the romanian singer Alexandra Stan 2011. And this year we got two more fantastic dance songs incorporating the lovely instrument that the saxophone is, albeit with a more updated modern sound obviously. They're quite similar that they're both great dance tracks with focus on the music with a tiny bit of vocals on there.

The first one is "Vandaag"(today) by Dutch DJ Lodewijk Fluttert, or Bakermat -that is his stage name. This single was released in the beginning of the year and consisting of electronic/house music with jazz and sould influences and integrates a sample of well known "I have a dream" speech by Martin Luther King Jr(which acutally is the only bad part in the song sadly enough). The song has appeared high in the charts in France, Belgium and Netherlands already.

Bakermat - Vandaag

Second we've got the French electronic music duo Klingande consisting of Cédric Steinmyller and Edgar Catry, with the track "Jubel". Jubel is currently on the top 10 iTunes chart in France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. The song is a more traditional dance track with female vocals with a very few lines. The star here is off course not her, but the smooth infectious saxophone beat that get you hooked right from the get go. With these two lovely songs we celebrate the saxophones return to the charts late into the night.

David Carreira - Obrigado la famille (feat. Dry)

22 year old Portuguese artist David Carreira reached number one with his debut album back in 2011. He's born in Dourdan, France and is making a career there as well. And that explain this mix of languages that we've never heard on a record before, namely Portuguese and French! And we love it! This is a very catchy R&B-number that reminds of us of what we consider to be classic French R&B/Hip-Hop. Dry is always laying some rap on the whole thing to top it off. Obrigado La Famille basically means "thank you for family", and the song is about that no matter what you have your family. Aaaw...

11th November is the release date for his next album that is gonna be a Pop/R&B record according to David himself. On the new album  he's collaborated with Snoop for example.

Priyanka Chopra - Exotic (feat. Pitbull)

In early summer Priyanka Chopra - this Indian supercelebrity and actress/singer(and Miss World 2000)released this RedOne penned hit of a single that invites you to dance the summer away. The winter is almost here, but it's no shame in drifiting off for a few minutes and let everything go and dance your feet off for approx 4 minutes!! We only wish we'll be treated to the album soon, hopefully with more RedOne-smashes...

Vinsten - Luckiest Girl

Luckiest Girl by Vinsten got a lot of attention as the theme for a Swedish web-series a couple of weeks ago. That has now led to a contract with a record label for Vinsten(a duo consisting of Calle Wachtmeister and Niklas Benjaminson) and the release of Luckiest Girl as a single, while they're working on a upcoming album.
We definitely understand why they got a contract, because this song is pretty brilliant, if we may say so. It's a southing ambient electro record with a vibrant pulsating beat in the background. Add to that a beautiful synthesized melody and emotional melancholic male vocals. Oh, how we love these kind of tunes! It reminds us a bit of Lady by the electro/house duo Modjo. Maybe it's the vocals and the tempo and monotonic beat(here not a bad thing) of the songs that makes them both ideal to have on repeat.
The only we could wish for now is for someone to make a stellar remix of these wonderful vocals.
Lyrics after the jump.

Party Friday: The Saturdays - What about us

Here's a happy return by our favorite Saturday-girls(even though it's Friday). The group is set to conquer America with their music and a reality show on E!. This is their brand new music video and first US single for the girls ever. It does not disappoint and makes us wanna head out dancing right now. So yeah, we are... see ya on the dance floor!

Aynur Aydın - Ayrılıklar Mevsimi

This video ain't brand new, but it's a great track and Aynur Aydın is climbing the charts with this wonderful ballad in Turkey at the moment, and at that we've listened to Aynurs latest album quite a lot in the past few months and feel that we have to mention her here, but she's a Turkish popgem not to be missed in our opinion.

25 year old Aynur is born in Germany and has been in showbiz since she was 10 years old, when she was 18 she joined a Turkish popgroup that later disbanded, but that put her on the international scene. In 2009 she began work on her first solo album. And she's been collaborating with famous Swedish hitmakers like Tony Nilsson , Moh Deneb , Darin Zanyar and Henrik Janson. What can really go wrong in talented God like pop hands like theirs? Together they've written 13 songs in English. These songs later got translated into Turkish versions and has been released on a Turkish version of the album. At first we thought that the songs were written in Turkish, since a majority of the Turkish versions sounds better than the originals. The Album is called "12 Çeşit La La - 12 Ways to La La" and for us it puts Aynur at the top along our other favourite Turkish artists.

Now on to this latest single and music video, Ayrılıklar Mevsimi. It's the fourth single to be taken off the album. It's a beautiful Turkish ballad. We'll let the video and song speak for itself. Be sure to check out her previous singles that are more upbeat like Yenildim Daima Yanı Başıma and İşporta.

Quentin Mosimann - Haters

The French TV-realitystar winner Quentin Mosimann seen to take a more electronic route with his 3:rd studioalbum that's is due later this year. He's probably found his inspiration while he's been having DJ-gigs on various continents during the past year. "Haters" is the first single from the upcoming album, and it's a straight out house track with hard beats and snappy synthesizers made for the clubs and arenas, not too far off from similar DJs like David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Avicii or Swedish House Mafia. What about the vocals then? They're still there off course since Quentin first and foremost is a singer. As it titles suggest he's singing the chorus is English.  I don't know if he's whole record is gonna be in English though as some sort of quest for internationalization  I hope not, but time will tell. For now we're enjoying this happy club banger at least.
