Video Update: Aqua - Playmate to Jesus

Aqua is back for real, as you know. And here's the video for their lead single "Playmate to Jesus" and as with most of their videos it got a very strong concept. The new video, as well as their new songs, are more mature.  This video is very dark. There is something black smokey lurking in an old house. Aqua is investigating and standing around in the building while singing.

The whole video only uses black and different shades of grey except for some green grass in some of the rooms. Lene is styled in very architectural and futuristic clothes with a clear samurai influenced style, with the use of a kimono and a traditional hairdo. With Lene's use of Noritaka Tatehana shoes I'm sure many people now will compare her to Lady Gaga which is ridiculous. The Michael Christensen directed video is beautiful though so be sure to check it out.

Norwegian singer-songwriter Maria Mena is giving us the second single, "Homeless" from her 5th album "Viktoria" to be released later this fall. Maria has a the unique ability to make all her songs sound personal, and at the same time make you relate and feel that they're about you. Norwegian Singer-Songwriter Maria Mena is following up her 2008 album "Cause and Effect" with this first single from a untitled forthcoming album. The song is called "This Too Shall Pass" and sounds as you expect a Maria Mena-single to sound: beautiful piano melodies, pretty emotional vocals and meaningful lyrics. The lyrics tell the message that relationships have struggles, but if you working on them you can overcome them.

Jennifer Lopez - I'm into you (feat. Lil Wayne)

Jennifer Lopez's follow up to her megahit 'On the floor' is a track penned by Lil Wayne, Taio Cruz and Norweigan duo Stargate(the latter did the production aswell).
The song gos in another direction from 'On the floor' and is more a chill, groovy, going down to the beach kinda song. Perfect for the early summer. They've went all in and off course even taped the video on a beach to really make sure it's gonna be that summer hit her label would love it to be. To me the song lacks something and there are better choices for second single on her new album 'Love?'. And the weirdest thing is that they've thrown in 25 seconds of one the better single choices(the RedOne-penned clubbanger 'Papi') with choreography and all -that then goes back into another chorus of 'I'm into you'. Very strange indeed. Have a look for yourself.

Anine Stang - Dominoes

Norwiegan singer Anine Stang is treating us to this easylistneable sugery pop thing of a song called 'Dominoes'. It's her new single and in the quite pretty video she's been inspired more than a little from the movie 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' as a handsome current/former lover is erasing Anine from his memory.

Bjørn Johan Muri - Nobody Knows (feat. Kelly Mueller)

 

Norweigan Idol runner-up Bjørn Johan Muri is back with a new song. This time an amazing ballad in duet with British singer-songwriter Kelly Mueller.

The song is taken from Muri's album 'Airwaves' and present itself as an pretty, a bit alternative and ambient ballad. Not the most exciting thing I've heard, but it's very pleasent. The video is unfortunately not posted on any video site that allows embedding, but you can watch it here if you want.

Repeat of the day: Bjørn Johan Muri - Circles

While I've been running around in my flat doing domestic shores today I've done it to Bjørn Johan Muri's song 'Circles'.

Bjørn got famous through Norwegian Idols in 2007, and this year he competed in Melodi Grand Prix(which is a national competition in which artists fight to represent Norway at Eurovision Song Contest) with the song 'Yes man', a song which took him to the top spot on the Norwegian singles chart.

'Circles' is the second single from the same album.

Tone Damli - Crazy Cool

The beautiful Norwegian Tone Damli has been trying to break it outside her home country with her 3rd album with hits like 'Butterflies' and 'I Know'. Wether that has been successful or not, I don't know, but a week ago she dropped a new single in Norway that's not from that album called 'Crazy cool', and here you get a chance listen to it:

The boyband that was A1 had a few hits back in the 90's, and now they're gonna release their comeback album in October. The third single to be released from it is the first really good one and it's called "In love and I hate it". Very catchy and surprisingly good indeed.
