Emeli Sandé - Heaven

Emeli Sandé is of Scottish descent and has written songs for a number of stars like She has written for a number of artists, including Cher Lloyd, Susan Boyle, Leona Lewis, Cheryl Cole, and Tinie Tempah. Simon Cowell has called her "his favourite songwriter at the minute".

Her debut single is called "Heaven" and is a drum'n'bass/dubstep-fusion topped with Sandé's beautiful vocals. The song debuted at #2 on the UK singles chart, and her album "Our Version of Events" is slated for a November release.

JoJo - Disaster

JoJo shot to stardom with her debut single "Leave (Get Out)" a couple of years ago, and her two first albums sold 3, and 2 millions respectively. JoJo recorded a third album, but her label refused to release it.

Now 5 years after the release after her sophomore album "The High Road" and a label transition later, JoJo is now giving us "Disaster" -the first official single from her third album "Jumping Trains". The new track got a pop/rock sound much similar to her previous hits "Leave (Get Out)" and "Too Little Too Late". As the title suggests it's about a relationship that turned into something that usually ends up on a junkyard.

LCTRISC - Sunbird

Here is "Sunbird" by the Nordic duo who identifies themselves as Lenny and Leslie. But hey, don't get mistaken for their names-they are dudes. And their band is called LCTRISC .

The video was directed by Johan Stolpe. "Sunbird" is a fantastic little melancholic jewel with amazing lines like "Your wings are made of black leather, while mine are made of memories".

Charice - One Day

The tiny Philippino girl with the enormous voice - Charice - is back with a new single. It's called "One Day", and I really like it. It's a powerful mid-tempo ballad about empowerment. Charice sings about that nothing will stop her and that she'll make you all believe in her.

The song was written by Jonas Brother Nick, and Dan Muckala and Jason Ingram.

M83 - Midnight City

M83 is a French electronic/dream pop act by French artist Anthony Gonzalez. The band, along with its one of its former member, has been around since 2001. So far, they have released four albums, and the fifth one "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming" is slated for an October release.

Here's the first single from that very album, "Midnight City."

I really like the entire electronic feel, and yes, the sax toward the end of the song, too.

Peter, Bjorn, and John - Dig A Little Deeper

It seems I am on a musical spree today. I have three posts for you on a single day--that's soemthing!

Here's Sweden's own PB&J. In their new album "Gimme Song," I like their simplicity--the vocals aren't overpowerd by the instruments, and the instruments simply strikes with the vocals. It's just simple drums, bass, guitar.

From this album, I like "Second Chance" but what stands out for me is "Dig a Little Deeper." I just love the drums and then the guitar in the beginning of the song--and throughout it as well.

Take a listen.

Bella Vida - Kiss kiss me bang bang

Bella Vida consists of sisters Hayley and Taylor-Ann Hasslehoff -and YES, they're the daughters of David Hasslehoff. Before you dismiss them due to their b-celebrity dad, this song is quite fab. It's a fun poptrack that got a similar sound to former UK-pop duo Mini Viva. Hope the girls can put out more songs equally good.

Catalin Josan - Walking on fire

Catalin Josan is a famous singer-songwriter from Romania. His latest single is called "Walking on fire". And how does it sound you may ask now? Well, I would say the song is guitar based backed up by orchestral features, and is a typical summer jam. The singer sounds a bit like James Morrison.

Remady - Way we are

Swiss producer Remady who got his break in the UK with his club track "No Superstar" and his collaboration with Craig David on "Do it on my own" is back with the lead single from his upcoming album. The track is called "Way we are" and is joined again by Manu-L on vocals. He was featured on the majority of tracks on Remady's last album.

Beyoncé - 1+1

Beyoncé is already giving us a new single with accompanying music video. The song is written by The Dream, Beyoncé herself and Christopher Stewart.

The song is a down-tempo power R&B/Soul ballad, and lyrics wise Beyoncé expresses her endless love for her interest, while they center around the line ""I don’t know much about algebra, but I know that one plus one equals two".
The video as well as the instruments are very minimalistic. I would say that Beyoncé is sensually and sexually approaching art with help of scaled down visuals and digitalized effects that gives a beautiful and fitting result.

Rihanna - Cheers (Drink To That)

Have a listen to Rihanna's latest party anthem, "Cheers (Drink To That), while watching various clips and shots from Rihanna's latest tour as well as various activities she did during her homecoming trip to Barbados.

The song was written by a loads of people, namely: Andrew Harr, Jermaine Jackson, Stacey Barthe, Laura Pergolizzi, Corey Gibson, Chris Ivery, Lauren Christy, Graham Edwards, Avril Lavigne and Scott Spock. The song was produced by The Runners. Why so many writers are mentioned here is due to samples of Avril Lavigne's song "I'm with you" from 2002.

Video Update: Leona Lewis / Avicii - Collide

Leona has premiered the video to her latest single "Collide". She's having a day out at the beach with her friends and it all seem pretty beautiful I must say.

Army Navy - The Long Goodbye

Here's an indie band from Los Angeles, Army Navy. The trio released their first album in 2008 titled "The Fever Zone." Three years later, they now have their new album titled "The Last Place."

And from the very album, here's "The Long Goodbye." I like the song, and it's going to be on my repeat list for the day. It's got that indie-feel, and I'm just trying to remember who do I relate this band too...they sound somewhat like...

Rebecca & Fiona - Hard

DJ duo Rebecca & Fiona is premiering their new video for the single "Hard". It's their most instrumental single yet, there's barely any vocals on it, but it's still a cool and intriguing track -the same goes for the video.

Strange Talk - Climbing Walls

It was a boring day today-- it was raining half the day, and then there was no interesting music to listen to as well. This was when Mr. Poposphere himself pinged me, and here I am listening, and also posting, this song.

The song by this Australian band Strange Talk is indeed very electro-pop. It brings back that theme and feel of listening to most of those electro-pop or enectro-pop-indie bands.

Here's one of their tracks from the album they released in April.

Bombay Bicycle Club - Shuffle

Here's another indie band from the United Kingdom, and they're called Bombay Bicycle Club. I wonder where the name comes from.

Well, they've been around for a while and have released three albums. This is a single from their new album titled "Shuffle"slated for release on August 29.

I like the song, and see it on repeat on my play list (But for now, I'm like stuck to Super Junior that my dear friend just posted here!)

Lo-Fi-Fnk - Boom

Lo-Fi-Fnk is a electro-pop duo from Sweden. Last week they released their second album "The Last Summer" which include their current summer single "Boom". Which I would describe as a mix between pop, a Daft Punk track and indie vocals. Listen to the orgasm like result below:

Tove Styrke - Call my name

Former Swedish Idol contestant Tove Styrke is already back with a new material. This time she's been working with Janne Kask and Peter Ågren, who also wrote "White Light Moment" for Tove -a song that was the next most played song on radio this year on Swedish radio.

Head over to Tove Styrke's official website to have a listen.

Super Junior - Mr. Simple

Super Junior is one of my favorite Korean acts and with this new video "Mr. Simple" they really deliver. This just screams "smash!". It starts out as a gorgeous jazzy number with raw emotional soul vocals that give you a catchy hotel lounge feel or maybe bring you back to an old school dance scene from a hollywood musical(but yet with a modern feel).

All that change 40 sec into the music video though when a stomping hard electronic beat with fiercely delivered verses emerges. Everything has turned into a hot catchy supershow fit for Korean pop-superstars.

Super Junior - Mr. Simple

Avicii - Fade into darkness

Do you remember Leona Lewis new single "Collide" that we premiered a month ago? Well Avicii that produced that song's background track has now put his own creativity to it with male vocals over it and releasing it as his own single under the title "Fade into darkness". Which version do you prefer?

Snow Patrol - Called Out In The Dark

The Northern Ireland band Snow Patrol is back with a new song and they've got a slightly new approach. The song sounds more indie pop and less alternative rock, which is what they usually do. And the music video it's got dancing in it! And we can't do anything but looove this and urge you to watch the video.

Snow Patrol - Called Out In The Dark

Mika - Elle Me Dit

This past month Mika released his first French single called "Elle Me Dit"(=She Tells Me), from his upcoming album "The Origin of Love". Now the video is being released and it's a happy feast with a dancing and singing family, who does just that to the song. French actress Fanny Ardant also makes an appearance in the video. The song has peaked at #6 in French iTunes.

Frida Gold - Wovon Sollen Wir Träumen

Frida Gold(or Brandon Flowers, since the band got double names) is a German band that makes catchy pop music with German lyrics. They have even toured with Kylie Minogue on her Aphrodite -Les Folies Tour. And I just love this dancepop track that they released this spring. It's always nice to hear great pop music sung in their native language rather than everything just being in English.

The title "Wovon Sollen Wir Träumen" asks the question "What shall we dream?". The song can be found on the album "Juwel", which is out now.

Gökmen - Cuk Oturdu

I've decided that it's time for you to sway your arms along to another Turkish disco-smash again. Today we've got Gökmen's infectious track "Cuk Oturdu".

Gökmen - Cuk Oturdu

Jason Derülo - It Girl

Jason Derülo deliver his second single from upcoming sophomore album "Future History". The new single is called "It Girl" -and no, it's not about fashionable girls, rather potential girlfriend material for Derülo. It's a decent old school R&B track.

Jason Derülo - It Girl

Lady Gaga - Yoü and I

"Yoü and I" is the latest single to be released from Gaga's "Born This Way" -album. It's written by Gaga and co-produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange. The song is influenced by country and rock 'n' roll, and even samples Queen's "We Will Rock You" (1977) and features electric guitar by Brian May.

The video is amazing, and quite the spectacular(as often is the case when it comes to Gaga, as you know), but the slow song inspired by one of her ex boyfriends? -nah, not my cup of tea. But the video is worth watching -if only to see some mermaid love making.

Ricky Martin - Frío (feat. Wisin & Yandel)

Here's Ricky Martin's third single from his latest album Música + Alma + Sexo.

About the this song, which means "Cold" in English, in a Billboard interview, he described the track as: "I fell in love with the melody of this song, which was brought to me by Wisin & Yandel."

Take a listen to find out for yourself.

Video Update: Gym Class Heroes featuring Adam Levine - Stereo Hearts

This is one of my favorite songs in my play list these days. We did post a video for this song, which was pretty well-made; it did seem like an "official video."

But here is the official one. You do see Travie McCoy and Adam Levine in the video. And I love the shadow-play in the video.

Cobra Starship featuring Sabi - You Make Me Feel...

Here's an American pop-punk/synthpop group Cobra Starship.I had listened to their previous song "Good Girls Go Bad" but that was it.

I stumbled upon their new single this afternoon from their new album due August 31. The single titled "You Make Me Feel..."features American singer-songwriter and actress Sabi who has been seen with the likes of Britney Spears.

I kinda like the photo booth theme of the video--it's appealing and fun. And yea, watch out for Zelda Williams and her dad Robbie Williams in the video.

As for the song, I do want to give it a thumbs up for the energy.

Marvin Priest - Take Me Away (feat. Wynter Gordon)

Marvin Priest is the son of reggae star Maxi Priest, and signed to Universal Music Australia. He recorded his debut single together with Brian McFadden in Sydney. The song has climbed the ARIA charts, and now Marvin is releasing his second single called "Take Me Away" featuring one of our soft spots when it comes to dance artists -Wynter Gordon. Which is a smart move since Wynter recently had great success in Aussieland.

I would describe "Take Me Away" as a mix between a traditional 90's dance song with a updated urban sound to it.

Nicola Roberts - Lucky Day

Nicola Roberts, former member of British girlband Girls Aloud, is releasing the video for her fresh new single "Lucky Day". The video is fun and quirky -and so is the song. It's a mix of all kinds of things, it sounds indie, it sounds like 60's pop, and yet a modern dance song in it's production. I was very skeptic about this to begin with and I haven't been that found of Nicola previously, but I do love this. It's a treat. Maybe the dress in the video is a tiny bit too short.... What do u reckon?

Party Friday: PNAU - Solid Ground (Adrian Lux & Blende Remix)

Austrialian dance act PNAU is making a comeback with the new single "Solid Ground", which is a lovely retro, a bit ABBA-sounding piece of pop/dance-music. However I this remix by Swedish DJ's Adrian Lux & Blende is heaven filled with sugarcoated strobelights and sundowns -it's THAT good. Never been to Ibiza, but this song takes me to what I think Ibiza is all about.

The Saturdays - All Fired Up

The video for The Saturdays second single "All Fired Up" from the new yet to be titled upcoming album. And what a stunner it is -love the song, love the styling and the photography. I would actually say that the music video very much look like an Korean(Asian) pop video -which is not a bad thing -they're often very stylish and cohesive.

The Saturdays - All Fired Up

Sugababes - Freedom

Sugababes premiering the video for "Freedom" the first single from their new album. Now it's make if or break it time for the girls, but I think the track has shaped up really nice since the first snippets we heard of the song(maybe mainly due to the horribly disturbing Nokia-ad it was featured in). The song is catchy and midtempo although using a lot of trance-sounds.

Sugababes - Freedom

Oh Land - White Nights

Danish singer-songwriter Oh Land is treating us to more of her delicious alternative pop when she release international single #2 from her self titled album. And what a video to accompany -simply exquisite! It got so many elements to it.

Cee Lo Green - Cry Baby

Cee Lo Green, is doing what his fellow judging colleagues in The Voice have done -riding on their recently gained extra popularity and putting out a new single. The new track is far from a new "Fuck You", but it's a nice retro-trip back to the 60's with Green usual powerhouse vocals toned down and softened. It's a cute track(not the lyrics though, folks).

Cee Lo Green - Cry Baby

Video Update: Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger (feat. Christina Aguilera)

The video for the wonderful disco-pop number that is "Moves Like Jagger" has arrived. The happy song still makes us wanna dance and the video include both Christina Aguilera in a hat and a shirtless Adam Levine, as well as old and new photage of Mick Jagger, all of them dancing(or showing off their best Jagger moves if you will) individually on a stage. Everything is topped by a grain layer to make it look vintage. Still love the song, but the video? -nah, had higher expectations.

Yasmin - Light Up The World (feat. Shy FX)

The British DJ and singer Yasmin is premiering her latest single, and yeah... it got a light drum 'n' bass sound that reminds us of other acts like Pendelum, Prodigy, Groove Armada etc. I like it, but it's not as good as her previous singles, or what do you say?

Yasmin - Light Up The World (feat. Shy FX)

James Morrison - I Won't Let You Go

James Morrison is back with a new single. "I Won't Let You Go" is taken from his upcoming 3rd album "The Awakening".
