Yasmin - On My Own

Strangly enough, this is a Ministry of Sound release. But I don't mind. Yasmin is a DJ and a singer-songwriter and has already been on tour with NERD, Will.i.am, and Taio Cruz. 'On My Own' is her debut single, which is produced by Shy FX, and is said to reflect her music style. The record is being released on 30th January.

The music video centers around beautiful Yasmin in boho-chic clothes walking around in different locations in London, directed by Luke Monaghan and Emil Nava.

Party Friday: Eric Prydz - Niton

It's party Friday and we have a real treat for you this evening. How about a new single from the DJ that has given us huge dance records like 'Call on me', 'Proper Education' and 'Pjanoo' -Eric Prydz?! He's back with the new single 'Niton'.

Danish rock

Here's a rock song from Danish band Carpark North. It's their latest single "Burn it" which uses amazing keyboard elements to perfection, not too far off from the kind of music the Turkish band maNga is known for.

This is how they're described on Wikipedia: "Carpark North is a Danish electronic rock band. The band was formed in Aarhus, Denmark on 28 July 1999 by Lau Højen (vocal, guitar), Søren Balsner (bass, synthesisers) and Morten Thorhauge (drums). The name "Carpark North" was created from the electro and rock genres: "Carpark" stands for car parks, edges, roughness, metal - the rock part, and "North" stands for northern lights, stars ethereal electronics."

Dance dance dance!

I'm in such a good mood today, and why not celebrate that with two dance tracks!

Here's a song that I really like. 'Take over control' with Dutch DJ Afrojack featuring Dutch singer Eva Simmons. It gots sick beats and a really catchy chorus. The video is directed by Alex Herron and shot in California. Simmons seem to have the highest hairdo I've ever seen too(!).
If someone knows who's done the backing vocals and the middle-8, plz enlighten me(think it might be Therese, but not sure).

Afrojack feat. Eva Simmons - Take over control

London born singer-songwriter Katy B is releasing her second single, which features Ms. Dynamite. It's funky vocal house, in a really cool mix. The song is so meant for the clubs, I mean the lyrics is about that moment when they've turned the lights on and want people to go home, but you're not ready yet and keep on dancing and wish that they would just play one more last song because you've got such a groove going on.The single is released 19th December in the UK.

The video for Michael Jacksson and Akons collaboration is here. And yes, Michael is in it, and Akon, and a whole bunch of other other people dancing, releasing ballons, crying, loughing and what not. In other words, this video is made up out of lots and lots of different clips that works alright.

It's fridaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! And you guy's who follow my blog know what that means = A club banger!
This is the best remix I've heard in a long time. UK-band McFly featuring the man Taio Cruz on their latest single 'Shine a light'(original song/video here), has gotten remixed by WestFunk & Steve Smart. Dance along to this tonite!

This amazing song has just gotten itself a video, which is really beautiful and intriguing. Warning thought if you can't stand watching bugs. :P The video was directed by Lorenzo Fonda.

The 80's are back!

Le Kid is the Swedish quartet that gave us the retro pop gem that was of the single Mercy Mercy, which was a bit influenced by cheerleading cheers.

Now they've returned with a song that sounds like it very well could've been made in the 80's(at first I thought it was!), and it's fantastic. And the video is equally fantastic.
It takes place on a ship with crew and all. The girls are wearing outfits that's a mix between Japanese school girls and a nautical look, and there are female dancers in swimsuits and life jackets, and guys in sailor hats and short shorts washing the deck and each other. Ch-ch-check it out:

Mohombi feat. Akon - Dirty Situation

I don't know at witch speed this guy is working, but now he's releasing yet another single and video. Producer RedOne's new protege Mohombi's new single 'Dirty Situation', and it's almost as good as his two previous singles. This time it's one of these love children between urban and eurodance music that has been going very well in the US and the rest of the world lately. Enjoy!

Diddy - Dirty Money feat. Skylar Grey - I'm Coming Home

Diddy - Dirty Money(yeah- THAT Diddy) has teamed up with Skylar Grey for the first single of his new group Diddy - Dirty Money's upcoming album. The group consist of Diddy himself and Dawn Richard and singer/songwriter Kalenna Harper.

Skylar Grey was also doing writing on Eminem and Rihannas all versions of 'Love the way you lie', and lended out her vocals to the background on the acoustic version.
Now she's helped Diddy - Dirty Money out on this track, and I really love Grey's vocals and would love for her to make an acoustic version by her own.

The album is out in the US on 14th december and is called 'Last Train to Paris'.

Taio Cruz feat. Kylie Minogue - Higher

I discarded this song when I first heard it awhile back, but I have to admit that it's grown on me immensely. The video for 'Higher' is quite silly though. Both Taio and Kylie look hot, trying to look awesome while being driven around in BMW's in a dirty garage...? No, just no. If it's supposed to be cool they should have driven the cars themselves, being in cooler cars than BMW's sedans(something more pimped out, mustangs, or some high end sports cars) and had a drag race or a chase scene or something.

Taio Cruz feat. Kylie Minogue - Higher

Alexandra Stan - Mr. Saxobeat

Romanian's produces quite a lot of euro dance music, and now there's a new song from Romania in just that genre. The song is called 'Mr. Saxobeat' and are performed by Alexandra Stan.
The song picks up on current euro dance trend by the use of saxophones, which the title surely indicates. Not the best track we've ever heard, but it's dance-able and enjoyable, and the saxophone loop is quite infectious.

It's funny with songs by these kinda countries when they sing in english, I'm quite sure the lyrics doesn't go "move me up, move me down like a brick".

Enrique releases yet another video from his bilingual album 'Eurphoria'. This time it's a spanish sung one called 'No Me Digas Que No' (don’t tell me no).

Sakis Rouvas - Parafora

Greek megastar Sakis Rouvas is keeping the dance beats and released a new video. Too bad we don't see any dancing in it though when it's that punchy.

Get into the X-mas spirit!

Now it's December and I see that as a perfect opportunity to post some of this year's new Christmas songs and covers I've come across so far.

First out we have Mariah Carey and the song 'Oh Santa' from her new Christmas album 'Merry Christmas II You':

Then we have the legend from Eurythmics that is Annie Lennox with the incredibly beautiful 'Universal Child', here from a performance on Strictly come dancing:

Kylie Minogue has done a rendition of 'Let It Snow' that will be released on December 7th. Here she's performing it in Rockefeller Center in New York:

Next we've got Norwegian singer-songwriter Maria Mena who's done an amazing ballad that is rather sad, but still with an ounce of encouragement, have a listen to 'Home for Christmas', which is also the theme song to the Norwegian movie 'Hjem Til Jul'.

Last but not least Coldplay has done a christmas song called 'Christmas Lights'.

Pixie Lott with yet another ballad

Pixie is releasing a second ballad from the re-release of her album. This is a lot better than the last one if you're asking me.
The video for the ballad, that's named "Can't Make This Over", is one of those when everything goes in reverse(except for the lip-syncing that's working with the songs vocals). And if you wanna see my favorite music video done in similar fashion, check out Danni Mingoue's video for "You won't forget about me".

Cheryl Cole - The Flood

After 'Promise This' Cheryl is releasing a video for the ballad 'The Flood' from her sophomore album 'Messy Little Raindrops'. And it's rather good as a matter of a fact. The lyrics however is telling some weird story though. And the flood does definitely not stand for tears since tow lines from the lyrics goes
"Bringing on the flood, the flood
Love me like a flood, a flood"

The video centers around Cheryl Cole sitting in a window and hanging around a shore, seem to be waiting for something. We never get to see anything arriving with the waves before the video is ending.

The album is already out, the single is released on Jan 3rd 2011.

Parts of B*Witched are giving it another go

The two twin sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch of the 90's Irish girlband B*WITCHED are making a comeback as Barbarellas.
They def. have a new musical direction with a lot heavier, contemporary, pop/electro-esque sound. I don't think their first single is amazing, but there's some good part in there and the video is gorgeos.

Here's their website.

Album Gems: Jena Lee - Mon Ange

I've found a great rock/pop track on French chick Jena Lee's latest album called 'Mon Ange'. She describes her own music as being "émo R&B". I suggest that you have a listen -it has a great melody in the chorus that easily stays in your head after the song's ended.

Jena was born in Chile, but when she was 9 months old she got adopted by a French family.
She recorded her first songs on a tape recorder and one of those songs found it's way to a an editor in Paris. In 2007 a producer got interested in her work and by the fourth season by Popstars(Nouvelle Star), he asks Jena to test write the instrumentals, and up with a song that ended up on Sheryfa Luna's(the winner of Popstars that year) debut album. And now she's started her own career.

If you wanna check out something else with Jena I suggest that you take a look at her 'Du Style'-video.

Video Update: Bruno Mars - Grenade

The video for Bruno Mars amazing heartbreaking song 'Grenade' has now been released.

The video is directed by Nabil and works great with the lyrics and it's theme. Mars is dragging a piano with a rope through L.A. to bring it to the love of his life and sing his heart out. And to his misfortune, he arrives at her house only to see the girl in question making out with another man. The rest of the story you'll have to see for yourself.

French RnB: Sheryfa Luna - Yemma

French RnB-singer Sheryfa Luna is releasing a video for the slow song 'Yemma', which is the second single from her album 'Si tu me vois', that she released earlier this year. Not the best she's done, but still an ok track. The video looks like it could have been filmed in Barcelona or something, and it's very simple. Sheryfa is just standing in different places in this city, singing.

Adele - Rolling in the deep

British singer Adele is back with 'Rolling In The Deep' -the first single from Adele's new album, '21'. You who like he since before knows what it's all about. The previous album was named '19', which I guess have to do with her actual age when recording them.

Adele describes this first single as a "dark bluesy gospel disco tune". The Single will be released on 16 January 2011, and below you can have a listen to it.

L'Aura Abela - Come Spieghi

L'Aura Abela (1984) comes from the beautiful valley city of Brescia, situated at the foot of the alps between Milan and Verona in north Italy. She's an singer songwriter, composer, pianist and violinist.

Her first album released in 2005 was rewarded with an gold certification in Italy. She's had a few hits on the Italian music charts since then and opened for acts like R.E.M. and Alanis Morissette on their concerts in Italy.

In october this year L'Aura released an EP called 'Sei come me' ("You're like me") and changed her artist name from being just "L'Aura" to "L'Aura Abela", and 'Come Spieghi' was released as a single to promote the album. You can watch the video below.

Video Update: September - Resuscitate Me

The video for September's 'Resuscitate Me' has arrived! It's directed by Patric Ullaeus and the plot goes well with the lyrics of the song. September is unconscious and rushed to the emergency room, and she's about to die. But the love from THE guy can save her ;) Cheesy enough for you? It works better in a music video I tell ya. :P

Wynter Gordon is re-shooting video

Wynter Gordon has released a new video for her song 'Dirty Talk' in smiliar style to her 'Believer'-video. Which probably is a smart move to promote the song and her EP, that is out now. Because, let's face it, the first video for 'Dirty Talk' was a bit weird and cheesy and had no choreography in it, even though the song clearly is dance track. So check out the new and improved video and image below:

Repeat of the day: Jamie Woon

As is the case with my 'Repeat of the day'-theme, this is a song that I've had on repeat in my speakers today. It's rather fantastic. It's soulful and also a mix of electro and chillout, and actually reminds me of Burial's dubsteb records.
[Update:] Burial has co-produced the song, so no wonder it sounded like him. :P

Jamie Woon is a 25yo singer-songwriter from Clapton in North-East London. Jamie is ½ Scottish (Mother) and ½ Malaysian-Chinese (Father).

Jamie has had a busy year: supporting La Roux and enjoying a number of festival appearances including Rob da Bank's Bestival. Jamie Woon also  preformed backstage at Bestival for Right Guard's Off Guard Gigs sessions.

And now he's climbing the charts in the UK with 'Night Air', which I think is one of the best tunes of the year.

Jamie Woon - Night Air

'Night Air' is out on iTunes UK as of now.

Tim Berg is seeking Bromance

The young Swedish DJ Tim Berg has had a huge club hit with the banger that is 'Bromance', and as in the case for successful club hits in the past, it's now getting the vocal-treatment for radio. For that reason I didn't pay much attention to this new edit, as well because I thought the orignal was so amazing in itself, but I have to admit that now when I've heard it, it actually works out pretty well.
I have no idea who does the vocals in this edit, but I think she's great, and she's attacking the higher longer notes in a similar way to Mariah Carey.

The single was released 24th of October.

The video is quite a standard, it's two girls and two guys doing a road trip to Vegas.

Swedish electro: Familjen - Det var jag

This is the video for 'Det var jag'(It was me) taken from Familjen's second album 'Mänskligheten'(humanity) and is directed by Mats Udd. I think it's a rather fantastic electropop gem. Maybe their best single yet.

The singer is comepletly covered in gold and rising from the sea and later walking through the woods. Meanwhile we get shots from a tradional swedish late summer seafood party with a couple of middle age people. The party quickly turns into a crazy fight.

The lyrics in Swedish goes like this
"Saknar dig fast du står här mitt framför mig
svart av askan och elden som syntes mil
det var jag och jag gjorde det bara för dig
Fågel Fenix bland djuren som gav sitt liv"

Which if you(i.e. I) translate it becomes something like this:
"Miss you even though you're standing here right in front of me,
black from the ashes and the fire that could be seen miles away,
it was me and I did it only for you
The fenix bird among the animals gave it's life away"
I'm not even gonna try to analyze that last line, but I think the song is rather pretty and it's not hard to understand that the whole song is about reflection of life and a past relationship.

If you wanna know more about Familjen check out their MySpace or visit their website

OneRepublic is living the 'Good Life'

When Ryan Tedder isn't penning songs to artists like Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarksson, Beyoncé, Westlife, James Blunt and Backstreet boys, he's playing with his own band OneRepublic. Late last year they released their second album 'Waking Up' and now it's time for the 4th video from that album to see the day of light. It's playful, and stays very true to their sound, but is a bit more dreamy this time around, which fit in well with the title of the song I guess. Isn't Tedder starting to look a bit old btw, how young is he?

OneRepublic - Good Life

Finnish Pop: Kaija Koo - Vapaa

It's not often that I get to write about finnish pop, but today is one of those occasions. Kaija Koo has been a successful artist in her native Finland since she was 17 years old and has released an album every 5 years during her career.

She has produced the songs with her husband, but they split up in 2006 and it was uncertain how that would affect her career, but over the summer she made a comeback in the Finnish charts with the song 'Vapaa' ("Free"). It's a catchy schlager gem. There is also a great dance remix out there(-here!).

Robyn 'Body Talk Part 3' album sampler

If you haven't heard the new tracks on Body Talk Part 3, you can have a listen below. I must say that this 3rd part is the best for us. Sure, the other two albums have dilivered some really great tracks, but on this one we can honestly say that we think all of the tracks are great! And the track 'Time Machine' is written by swedish artist Sophia Somajo and no one less than Max Martin!

Video Update: Lykke Li - Get Some

Lykke Li's free bass and percussion heavy single 'Get Some'(that we mentioned a few weeks ago) has now gone and got the video treatment. Although I like the song, I hope that due to that the single is free, that we'll get some songs on the album that will excite us a little bit more, but it's a nice starter.
The video is directed by Johan Söderberg.

Alert! New Michael Jackson single: 'Hold My Hand'

Michael Jackson has always had a huge impact in the world of pop. Last year he tragically passed away, and now his record company Sony has announced the plans to release an album with unreleased songs on a new album simply called 'Michael', just in time for christmas during the month of december(10th to be precise).

On the album you will find collaborations with 50 Cent and Lenny Kravitz, as well as a track called 'Hold My Hand', wich is a duet with Akon, and also the first single.

The song was recorded by Jackson in 2007. Akon finished recording his own vocals for the song this year, and it's said that Michael had left a handwritten note stating that he wanted 'Hold My Hand' to be the first song from his next project.
We can all speculate wither this is true or not, but however the case may be we still stand with the fact that we have a new single from Michael Jackson, and even better it's out TODAY folks!

Akon has said the following about the song "It has become an incredible, beautiful, anthemic song. I’m so proud to have had the chance to work with Michael, one of my all time idols.”

Repeat of the day: Bjørn Johan Muri - Circles

While I've been running around in my flat doing domestic shores today I've done it to Bjørn Johan Muri's song 'Circles'.

Bjørn got famous through Norwegian Idols in 2007, and this year he competed in Melodi Grand Prix(which is a national competition in which artists fight to represent Norway at Eurovision Song Contest) with the song 'Yes man', a song which took him to the top spot on the Norwegian singles chart.

'Circles' is the second single from the same album.

Shawn Desman - Electric/Night like this

Finally a new music video from Shawn Desman's album 'Fresh'. Not a day too soon. And we get treated to a video with not one, but TWO songs in it -fab!
The video first starts off with 'Electric' where Shawn being in detention and singing and dancing out his affection for his teacher in an empty class room. Later on he's dancing in the school corridor with two other bad guys. Back to the teacher who's teasing Shawn with seductive energetic dancing.

The we get a new clip where the teacher wake up from apparently just was daydreaming on her behalf in an elevator surrounded by other teachers. And the second song starts playing, this time 'Night like this'. We're now in the school's gym -It's prom night!
Shawn shows up with his boys and putting on a dance show on the dance floor, while being surrounded by the everyone in school.
The teacher makes her move and starts dancing around Shawn while the students are schocked, but cheering for her. Then the magic is happening -she's grinding him and alsmost giving him a kiss! lol And then everyone in the whole gym starts jumping and partying like crazy.

The video ends with the teacher being back in the class room, waking up from yet another dream, while she's been listening to 'Night like this' on her iPod.

Here's a behind-the-scenes from the shoot. And if you wanna know more about Shawn Desman check out his website.

Viktorious - When we were 10

Viktor Norén was a member of Swedish indie-band 'Sugarplum Fairy'. Viktorious is his new soloproject were he has tossed his guitar in favor of music composed on a computer. And the end-result is quite amazing. Have a listen to the song 'When we were 10'.

Introducing: Jessie J

Jessie J, or Jessica Cornish which is her real name, is signed to Universal Republic/Island and below I'm treating you to her first UK-single 'Do it like a dude'.

She's getting her swagger on and rocking out lyrics like:
"I can do it like a brotha', do it like a dude, grab my crotch, wear my hat low like you..."

over a thumbing bass heavy beat. It's in your face, it's ballsy and it's singing and it's rap. I think this is is one direction we'll see the mainstream hip-hop scene heading, and I definitely believe that this girl got what is takes to make it big.

And if you doubt this girl's vocal talent, just have a listen to her first american single 'Who you are', which is released november 16th, and was featured on the soundtrack to the movie 'Step Up 3D'.

For more on Jessie J, check out her MySpace page or her  official website.

N.E.R.D. - Hypnotize U

N.E.R.D.'s album 'Nothing' is out now
After 'Hot 'n' fun' with Nelly Furtado and 'I've Seen the Light', are N.E.R.D. back with their 3rd single from the album 'Nothing'.
The new track is called 'Hypnotize U' and is more chillout and electro than RnB(which is most likely due to the fact that Daft Punk produced it), but it's very relaxed and soft.

The lyrics is on the other hand quite sexual. I mean check out this line "
Girl when you lost you know I’ll find you. If I’m not beside you I’m inside you. I’m your doctor, this is your therapy"
The video is a tad peculiar as well, but instead of explaining it I suggest you to watch it.

Outlandish feat. Kato - Desert walk

Danish group Outlandish had a hit in Europe this past summer with 'Glow' and here's their new dance song with rythm, drums and flutes. The video is one of those concert ones. You know, a camera has followed them around on tour and filmed both on stage and off.  Check out thevideo below.

Party Friday: Tina Cousins covers 'Sex on fire'

Tina Cousins is a English singer-songwriter and former model who had a few hits in the end of the last millenium with songs like 'Pray', 'Killin' Time', and probably most famous for the hit 'Mysterious Times' with the German Dj Sash!. Now she's signed a new record deal with Sony Music International and will release a cover of King's of Leon's song 'Sex on fire' as a first single across Europe. The video is quite raunchy and was filmed in Belgium. It's kinda trashy and fabulous at the same time.

Tina Cousins - Sex on Fire

Video Update: Fefe Dobson - Stuttering

The video for 'Stuttering' is here and it's directed by Alan Ferguson, who also did the video for Nelly Furtado's single 'Night is young'. Fefe is at a motel, originally stalking her boyfriend whom she thinks is cheating on her, only to find out it's not her boyfriend.

Wynter Gordon - Pride (It gets better)

Singer Wynter Gordon gets into the 'It gets better' program which is aimed to raise awareness and help young gay teenagers who struggling to cope with their sexuality, especially after the events after several suicides in the United States. Wynter is now releasing this new song called 'Pride' written for the movement, which is produced by David Guetta.
It's not everyday you get to hear an amazing dance track that also has a profound message.

Get the message out there and support the campaign by singing along to the chorus:
"With pride in our hearts, we're putting it out there. For everyone to see. It tears us apart. We're putting it out there. We know we're not alone. Don't fight it anymore. Tonight the world will know who we are. We're putting it out there."

Bruno Mars - Grenade

'Grenade' is a song from Bruno Mars debut album 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans'. The song is used as a promotional track in New Zeeland and recently entered the top-40 chart there. It's a great song from an great album. We'll see what the next single in the rest of the world will be.

Jeremih feat. Ludacris - I like

No it's not a cover of Enrique's song. *grin* Jeremih is an american hip-hop artist that had a fairly huge hit last year with 'Birthday Sex'. He has now recorded a new album and this song is the first taste, and Ludacris is also joining in and rapping a bit on it. The track is the same sleek slow kind of music that Jeremih's done before.

Jeremih feat. Ludacris - I like

Alexandra Burke - Start without you

Alexandra Burke, last years X-factor winner has released the video for the Caribbean vibed song 'Start without you'. The video resemblance nothing beachy or Carribean though, and only uses the color scheme of black, white and metal basically. But it's pretty and does it's job I guess.

Video Update: Nicole Scherzinger - Poison

And here we now have the video for Nicole Scherzinger's 'Poison'. The video is unfortunately not as good as the song though. Nicole changes between being a superhero and a villain channeling Catwoman in some futuristic stylistic city environments.

Video Update: Pink - Raise your glass

The music video for Pinks single 'Raise your glass' has just been released. And it's a classic Pink video music affair: It's agressive and fun, and it follows the theme in the lyrics. That all underdogs should just go for it and party and stop caring about what other thinks. The song is written by Pink, Max Martin and Shellback.

Euro dance princess September is back!

One of the pioneers of the comeback of pop dance music, September, is back. After the release of her last album 3 years ago, she's now returning with new material. The first single is called 'Resuscitate Me' and was sent to radios in Sweden last week. The song is written by the same team that wrote Kylie Minogue's 'Get Outta My Way'. In other words:
Cutfather, Jonas Jeberg, Wayne Hector, and Lucas Seacon. The single will be released November the 19th in the whole of Scandinavia, with her fourth album 'Love CPR' following in the beginning of 2011.

Far East Movement joins Ryan Tedder on 'Rocketeer'

Far East Movement that we mentioned a while back is now releasing a new single and has teamed up with Ryan Tedder on the vocals. In other words: No, it's not a Ryan Tedder penned track. But it's still very good.

Ricky Martin is back!

Ricky Martin is back and on this new song he's teamed up with american singer Joss Stone.
The song has reggae and ska influences in a groovy easy listening, happy-go-lucky way. I mean the chorus goes "Life is short, so make it what you wanna. Make it good, don't wait until mañana. I think I'm cool because you're on this star-shaped tattoo. The best thing about me is you." So I suggest that you do the same thing as me and dream about being in the tropics enjoying a drink on the beach while listening to this song.

Delta Goodrem featured on Jim Brickmans new album

The contemporary pianist Jim Brickman has written a song called 'Breathe, Dream, Pray, Love' and he thought is would work best as a duet and therefore he let Aussie superstar Delta Goodrem(her debut album har 5 #1's in Australia and broke the records over Kylie Minogue and the Beatles.) and Mark Masri record it. It's a very pretty ballad indeed.

K-Pop: SNSD - Hoot

The immensely popular SNSD, or Girls Generation that they're also called, is releasing a 3rd mini-album with 'Hoot' being the lead single. The 7-member big girl group is doing here what they do best: quirky, catchy, fun -both in terms of song and video. The video seem to have a 60's spy theme, not that far from the aesthetic present in the Austin Power movies.

Album Gems: JJ - Let Go

JJ is a Swedish Indie band. They released their debut album 'jj n° 3' in the end of march this year. I came across it for the first time recently and Let Go is easily my favorite track on it. Have a listen to this very atmospheric song below. It's very dreamy, and it comes along with a video that is very simple, but yet with stunning photo.

Katy Perry show us 'Firework'

Katy Perry releases the video for her 3rd single from the album 'Teenage Dream'. 'Firework' is my favorite song on the album and the video shows Katy Perry in a couture dress singing from a rooftop balcony, while we get to see different scenarios with people that starts shooting fireworks from their bodies in different situations, not totally unlike the scenes in Christina Aguilera's 'Beautiful'. It's a very pretty video and I love the fireworks effects.

Video Update: Sukkerchok - De 1000 Drømmes Nat

The danish pop/schlager group Sukkerchok has now released the video for the single 'De 1000 Drømmes Nat', which is the first single with the group's new lineup.
The video is quite simple, with white and grey tones. The girls are standing in different poses in a house with sheets hanging down from the ceiling in true 90's boy band manner, and even do some cheesy synchronized moves!

Shayne Ward is back!

After 3 years of absence, former x-factor winner Shayne Ward is returning with a new single called 'Gotta be somebody'. Weirdly enough it's a cover of a Nickleback track. I still like it though and Shayne deserves to come out with a hit recorded and good promotion. He's a really good singer, watch this acoustic performance of him singing another song from his upcoming album. The video consist of basically just a lot of beautiful shots in a city and man candy.

Video: Robyn - Indestructible

Robyn's music video for Indestructible is here!! *scream*

The video is a tad...pornographic though. lol You see several couples undressing and making out in bed. And Robyn is wearing some weird dress made out of tubes with moving liquids in them in her shots. The video is a bit strange altogether. What do you make of it?

J-pop: Perfume - Nee

The Japanese elctropop girl group Perfume has a new single called 'Nee' on it's way. It's a great cute elctropop explosion. 'Nee' is currently used in a tie-up campaign with Japanese apparel brand Natural Beauty Basic. Have a look at a preview below:

Tron soundtrack: Daft Punk - Derezzed

Daft Punk is doing the score to Disney's new 'Tron'-movie, and in this new trailer that surfaced we get to here an amazing track called 'Derezzed'. It's amazing and the electronic music duo also makes a cameo in the trailer. The visuals is also quite stunning. Ch-ch-check it out below:

Darin - Lovekiller

The video for 'Loverkiller' was recorded in august, but has been edited since then and is his most expensive music video to date. The single has also been out in Sweden since July, so the video has taken a good long time to arrive. The story for the music video did Darin come up with himself and it surrounds a girl that breaks peoples hearts(she literally kills them), and Darin is her latest victim.

Except for being an artist Darin loves to write and has been involved a lot on the songs on his latest album, and also penned songs for Westlife and Shayne Ward's upcoming albums.

Nicole Scherzinger - Poison

Nicole Scherzinger, the singer from Pussycat Dolls, is releasing this single as a first taste of her upcoming album.

'Poison' is produced by RedOne, and I think he's almost doing a parody of his own iconic productions. It's SO much of everything and Nicole already got a very hard rough voice, so it tends to get a bit screamy and all over the place.

I didn't like this at all when it popped up a couple of days ago, but I've started to ease in to it, and especially this remix by Cahill.

Dave Koz feat. Dana Glover - Start All Over Again

Dana Glover
I think this amazing jazz/pop-song would be a great peptalk anthem for the 'It gets better'-project(THE PLEDGE: Many LGBT youth can't picture what their lives might be like as openly gay adults. They can't imagine a future for themselves. So let's show them what our lives are like, let's show them what the future may hold in store for them).

Dave Koz is a jazz muscisian that has been in the business for more than 20 years and won several Grammy's. His new song called 'Start All Over Again' featuring singer Dana Glover is featured on his new album 'Hello Tomorrow'

Dave and Dana made a performance of the song in last nights episode of Desperate Housewives and I got smitten with it straight away. The song is telling us that even if you're having a really rough time and are on the bottom, as long as you're breathing, you still have the chance to start all over again. Because tomorrow is a new day.

If you wanna know how the collaboration came to be check out this video clip.
